When it comes to fitness, developing most qualities to an above average level and preparing oneself generally for all possible tasks, this is referred to as training for general physical preparedness. He has stated many a time that the kettlebell is the best tool for this job. You'll learn why that is in this book. You'll learn to move well under load, improve flexibility, strength, power, conditioning, and more with the help of one simple tool. You can tailor your training to lose fat or to gain muscles as well.
The books is accompanied by video demonstrations that are of relatively high quality. They show a multitude of angles and play in slow motion while highlighting some of the cues mentioned in the book a few times. I would have liked to see the setup for some of the exercises also included in the videos, but the instruction in the book is sufficient.
There are other books out there that will give you a minimalist KB program for the development of general physical preparedness. Some of those books are even more minimalist. One in particular only uses two exercises. However, the program provided in this book regularly exposes you to all of the fundamental kettlebell exercises. It looks like fun and provides a good deal of variety while allowing for enough overlap that you will have sufficient practice in all the movements throughout the week.
For $1.00, a must buy. No brainer.
If you're new to kettlebells (like me), you can't possibly go wrong for the price of this book. Glad I stumbled across it.

This book cuts through the noise that you get is some other training books but provides enough commentary to keep it interesting. No pages of faux-history about how the Russians "invented" the Kettlebell (they've been around since the Greek empire).
A quick read, a bargain price and a basic training plan to help you get on with Kettlebell training.
What else could you ask for at this price? Nothing.
I’ve followed Pat for a while now but jumped at the chance to spend 99p and get a follow along information book. I’ve been lifting weights for many years now but fancy a change with a more balanced workout and outcome. I highly recommend to all !
Slight disappointed that Pat didn't ask what I was drinking and there is distinct lack of Llama chat but this doesn't diminish the quality of the book.
Thanks for consolidating all this info in one place.
Would pair this book with repetition and resistance for the most bang for buck (also £1)
The workout within the book is simple (not to be confused with easy) and looks like it'll do as it says on the tin, can't wait to run it once with current programs.
