About the Author
Terri Libenson may or may not have been inspired by her own mostly good, sometimes harrowing middle school experiences in writing Invisible Emmie. She most definitely did draw a lot during class, which worked out well, since she grew up to be a cartoonist: she is the creator of the internationally syndicated, Reuben Award-winning comic strip The Pajama Diaries and was a longtime writer of humorous cards for American Greetings. Terri lives with her husband and two daughters in Cleveland, Ohio. You can find her online at www.TerriLibenson.com.
Cassandra Morris has received critical acclaim for her voice-over work from Publishers Weekly and AudioFile magazine, earning a dozen Earphones Awards and twice been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. Her voice has also been heard on television in commercial campaigns and numerous Nickelodeon and Disney products. She is the voice of many cartoon characters, including Leo and Luna in Yu-Gi-Oh, Carrie in Barbie: A Fairy Secret, Nathan in Pokemon, and Lola in Angelo Rules.
Tara Sands is an American actress, television host, and voice talent who has won numerous AudioFile Earphones Awards for narration. She is former cohost of Fridays on the Cartoon Network. In addition to performing in plays and musicals, her voice can be heard on numerous commercials, audiobooks, cartoons, and video games.--This text refers to the audioCD edition.
A well-executed twist will have readers flipping back to see what they missed while cheering the strides made by Libenson's no-longer-invisible heroine.-- "Publishers Weekly"
Reading Invisible Emmie sums up middle school: You laugh, you cry, you get beaned in the head with a volleyball.-- "Stephan Pastis, New York Times bestselling author"
This funny and heartfelt tale will ring true for anyone who's ever felt invisible.-- "Victoria Jamieson, Newbery Honor author"
This is middle-grade fiction at its best. A fantastic debut novel with plenty of laughs and tons of heart.-- "Lincoln Peirce, New York Times bestselling author"
With all-too-familiar middle-school drama and an empowering lesson about speaking up and bravely facing down embarrassment, this should find an easy audience among fans of Wimpy Kid or Dork Diaries books.-- "Booklist" --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

It's not necessarily "for" or "about" introverts...but it touches on many experiences that introverts can relate to. I highly recommend for introverted girls who don't want to be the center of attention, but who don't really like being completely invisible either.

Makes your kid worry about middle school ahead of time.
My daughter (10yo) liked Positively Izzy and asked for more of this author.
I regret we bought this book.
Doesn’t add much to language learning either.
Don’t waist your money and your kids time!
