I was disappointed at first because this is much bigger than the normal day-to-day box calendar but now that I've had a chance to use it, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's actually has a lot more room for daily notes. The photos are beautiful. I might buy it again next year because of just how beautiful the photos are.

I see one reviewer left 1 star because it's not a normal box-sized calendar, therefore it was useless to him/her. Ouch! Yes, it is larger. It's footprint is bigger and you won't be able to tuck it in the space under your monitor. It comes with it's own acrylic stand that measures 6.25" wide by 7.25" high. The pages themselves are printed on both sides on heavy, glossy stock paper. There are no pages to tear off because they are not bound. As each day is over, you place that page to the back of the stack, hence the reason for the stand. Half way through the year you'll encounter Jan 1st again. At that point, pull the stack out of the stand and flip it around to continue on with the remainder of the year on the back side of the pages. I've been buying beach/island calendars for decades, but the images in this calendar are THE MOST stunning I have ever seen. The photography is very professional, just like a coffee table book. I mentioned the heavy, glossy paper... yes, exactly like a coffee table book. The quality of the paper is far superior to any box calendar. The images are crisp and clear. After using it now for over a week, I'm glad the pages are larger for the sake of the beautiful photography. I look forward to the beauty of each new day. After doing some pricing comparison, even with the expensive paper and added cost of the acrylic stand, it was barely over $2 more than an Italy box calendar that I also bought. Hints: Save the pages! I don't always read books on my Kindle, therefore I plan on saving the pages to use as bookmarkers for my hardcopy books. Also, when you're feeling stressed or blah and you need to rest your mind from the chaos of the world, take a stay-cation by viewing these tropical images and imagining yourself in them. I guarantee you'll be taken away. Can't wait until next year's calendar.

Although this is a fabulous calendar with breathtaking photos, a 2021 calendar should NOT be front and center on your site, when everyone is looking for holiday gifts. I made the mistake of ordering for my husband, who has loved this calendar for many years….thankfully, I was able to cancel the order after taking a closer look and seeing that it is a 2021 calendar. Why in the world would Amazon still have this calendar as an item…and at the same price i paid for it a year ago? Makes no sense at all…do better, Amazon.

It really is a great calendar and SOME of the pictures are really breathtaking. Some are not really.
