About J. Lee Strickland
J. Lee Strickland grew up among the anthracite strip mines and culm banks of rural Northeastern Pennsylvania. As a young man he traveled extensively, honing his writing skills while working as a carpenter to put food (and beer) in his mouth and clothes on his back. He settled in rural upstate New York where he lives with his wife, cat, dogs and chickens in an off-grid home they built themselves from material they gathered from the land. J. Lee writes fiction as well as creative non-fiction. His genre-bending fiction and poetry can be found in anthologies, magazines, and various on-line publications. He is working on a collection of his previous writings on the subjects of simple living, alternative energy, and alternative building techniques.
The Neighbors features twenty aspiring writers wishing to entertain you with their short stories inspired by these very questions. From humorous conflicts with the home owners association to a seedier malevolence, suspicious behavior to a welcomed change, there is something for everyone.
The next time your neighbors invite you to dinner, you may wish to think twice!

Handle with care.
