An Alphabet Book of Words That are Fun to Say.
Don’t let the title scare you off... it is for purely sentimental reasons. Thirty years prior to the development of this book I found myself on diaper changing duty. My daughter was a squirmy little thing, and it took a bit of creativity to entertain her enough to avoid sticking either one of us with a safety pin. Out of desperation, and the knowledge that “B” sounds were the easiest for an infant to learn, I would say “Buh, Buh, Buh... Botulism!” She would giggle, and a pin would successfully be installed. As time passed, additional words were added, and the list grew when her baby brother came along. During many long nights with sleepless babies, I would attempt to make the words rhyme, as much for the mental exercise to stay awake myself, as to sooth the little one asleep.
I never believed in “dumbing down,” or doing “baby talk” with my children, and spoke with them as I would an adult. The exposure to words typically not used with children led to a rather impressive vocabulary by the time they started school. I believe their love of books and reading, even unto today, stem from this. I, of course, have continued this practice with my granddaughter, who as of her fourth birthday will happily tell you that “B is for Botulism.” It is for her that I publish this book.
The illustrations are little more than glorified “doodles,” the type of thing I scribble on post-it notes whilst on the telephone. I must say it was a great deal of fun.
If but one person finds joy in this work, or if but one child giggles with delight at the “funny words,” I will count myself blessed beyond measure, and all the work that went into this will have been well worth the effort.
The officer grunted. “What is it you seek?”
Eamonn chuckled. “I have no idea. Something calls me ever onward. I cannot resist that call, and I am unable to not follow it over the horizon. I can only hope that I will know what it is when I find it.”
Together with Robert, an officer of the garrison thrust into a position of leadership in an impossible situation, and Raine, the beautiful Countess trapped in an unhappy marriage, Eamonn finds himself facing a ruthless siege by a savage enemy. The fate of a kingdom is in their hands, and they must hold, or die trying. But amidst all the horror and death, Eamonn finds friendship, love, and perhaps the very thing that he seeks.

Be careful who you fall in lust with...
The invaders from across the Eastern Sea have landed. Einbeck has been sacked, and Fergus grieves the loss of his family. But he has people depending on him to lead them to victory against the strange mutants. If he fails, an entire continent falls under the enemy's heavy hand. Fergus must risk everything in a last ditch effort to retain the freedom of the world, even if he believes his own has fallen apart.
The planet called Earth was dying... Five nations formed a coalition to save the species. Constructed entirely in space, an enormous ship was built. One mile long, the thin cylindrical vessel was intended to transport two thousand genetically diverse passengers to a faraway destination. Every possible contingency was thought of... except one... the human element. One hundred and thirty two years into the voyage, things went horribly wrong...
His mission to the Southern Lands complete, Fergus and his men are recalled. Rejoining the rest of the mercenary company, in the northern land of Valdenheim, he will face the horrors of war, betrayal, and worse. For there on those verdant fields, events transpire that will haunt him many years into the future... and dark arts he believed left behind long ago will rise again to threaten everything he knows and loves.
Returning from the Northern Wastes, Fergus was dismayed to find that the Bards were indeed “singing his name”, as he made a joyous reunion with his comrades of the TKT. His time on the plains of Valdenheim was short lived however, and given his first command, he was sent on a treacherous journey, south through the infamous Illesian swamps to the exotic Southern lands. There, amid the burning sands, an ancient horror awaited them… one that not only thirsted for their lives, but for their very souls.
