A Good - If Quickie - Continuation into The Start
Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2015
Right off the bat, two things to address.
Number one: I am the world's number one Jack Reacher fan (I also love Richard Sharpe and a few other characters, but none more so than Reacher).
Number two: I received this Kindle book free in exchange for an honest product review as part of an established Review program not associated with Amazon or any other e-book dealer.
While really brief (putting it mildly), this was a good element to pursue the continuing development of the Hunt for Jack Reacher series.
Note that it is NOT replacing the Jack Reacher series, though it is highly supported by Lee Childs.
On the negative side, I'm not sure that I am a big fan yet of the two protagonists. They are FBI agents but seem to get overly fixated on a specific theory rather than constantly keeping all options open (I have, aside from military experience, a 29-year career in law enforcement so things like procedures, weapons, gun fighting techniques and tactics, combatives, crime procedures, reviewing evidence constantly, thinking out potentials, etcetera, are always at the forefront when reading things like this).
Note: Book 2 was obtained through being part of the bundled Books 1 - 3.
