How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The book is in true Tomie DePaolo style a little lesson and a little humor. A Leprechaun encourages a poor commoner to take a seed instead of his gold. The commoner plants the seed and becomes overwhelmed with his luck (HUGE potato). He invites the community to bring their plates and carve out some potato for themselves. The conclusion is that the community reaches their “full” of potato and bribe the commoner to never plant the potato again.

The story doesn’t make any sense. While I like the fact that it’s a boardbook and easy for my toddler to turn the pages the story itself is odd. We bought to start to teach our daughter about Ireland and st Patrick’s day and the story starts off ok but ends strangely.

Board book is NOT the full story. It makes for a confusing and flat tale, very disappointed.

This book was bought around St. Patrick Day for my grandchildren. The story is very entertaining and unique. My grandchildren are only one and two years old and they love hearing this book! The illustrations are also great. Tomie dePaola was a favorite of my daughter when she was little and now my grandchildren as well. A good read for the little ones.

this was a St. Pats gift for an Irish child. She loved it and so did I.

This is a terrible book for children. It does not teach anything of value and rewards laziness.

I had been looking for a book like this to bring home from Ireland for my grandson. I came home and found exactly what I wanted on Amazon. A simple but amusing story, well illustrated.
