Surrender is not a Ranger Word
History records massive ancient battles at Carthage, Megiddo, and Cannae. Soon it will record an even greater one... at Sustugul.
Surrounded in the desert port of Sustugul, the Rangers and their new allies must fight a desperate defense. The legions of the Lich Pharaoh, led by a fierce and brutal warrior queen medusa from the Land of Black Sleep, have erupted out of the tomb-haunted south, and overwhelming forces of savage orc hordes swarm the walls of the besieged city.
As the Rangers fight to hold their ground—or be slaughtered and driven into the sea—Corporal Talker struggles to forge a dangerous request that may bring back fallen comrades from beyond the Lands of Night... or destroy the very fabric of time and space.
At the center of this stunning massed infantry battle like something from the Age of Bronze, U.S. Army Rangers must use every war-fighting skill and battlefield trick, along with their legendary heroic intestinal fortitude, to turn the tide and break the forces of evil in a large-scale battle unlike nothing they’ve ever fought in before.
IT ALL ENDS HERE.
Every decision, battle, triumph, and heartache has led the galaxy to this moment.
The Republic is spun wildly into sudden war as Gomarii slavers, in overwhelming numbers, strike on behalf of their Savage allies. The battle is fiercest on a newly rediscovered world: Earth.
But galactic war is only the symptom of an older, deeper, and far more dangerous conflict. Now Keel and Ravi must work frantically to assemble the warriors needed to withstand an ancient threat, and Prisma must wrestle to control her own inner darkness. While on the front lines, Death’s grim specter comes for Chhun and Victory Company.
For once again, a Legion stands steadfast before the void.
KTF Part Two marks the end of Galaxy’s Edge: Season Two, and of the expansive story arc that began long ago with Legionnaire. Read on with caution, for here is where the characters you have come to know and love will meet their ultimate fates.
The future isn't what they expected.
A company of Army Rangers are sent on an interstellar colony ship to secure a foothold on a dangerous, alien planet through violence of action. Leaving behind a warring Earth flung headfirst into a conflict of mutual assured destruction, the Rangers and the accompanying crew of first colonists are guided on a 40-year journey by an unprecedented artificial intelligence.
But when they emerge from the frigid embrace of cryosleep, they awake to a nightmare, finding themselves greeted by the same ruthless enemy that brought about the ruin of Earth. Alone on a dangerous, alien planet and with no hope of rescue or relief, the military colonists are forced to finish the war they thought they'd left behind. And in an unknown galaxy, friends and enemies alike prove to be much more than they seem.
