About Jaycee Weaver
Jaycee Weaver lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her amazing husband, three daughters, two crazy shih-tzus, and a dwarf rabbit. When she’s not writing, she’s probably in pursuit of her 90 million other hobbies or shuttling the kids around. Jaycee loves to read multiple genres, drink too much coffee, sing, take landscape and floral photos, sew, cook, bake, and craft nearly anything. She considers herself a recovering perfectionist and occasional hot mess. She does her best to live her faith in action, being open, honest, and real; letting God be Lord over the good, the bad, and the ugly even when it’s hard.

Blog postThe rule of three is a principle in writing that suggests a trio of events or characters is more humorous, satisfying, or effective than other numbers1. We see the number used all over the place from religion to advertising content. Being the smallest number that can establish a pattern, three gets things stuck in our heads.
I mean, come on, look at this list:

Blog postLife in 2020, huh? I mean, that statement alone could be a whole post. Halfway through the year and we’ve already faced more divisiveness than is quantifiable. I mean, forget the stuff we see online or on the television. Set aside COVID-19 and all of the socio-political news. I don’t know a single family who hasn’t personally endured multiple struggles at a greater magnitude than ever before in a single year.
Heavy stuff.
And so much noise.
Necessary noise, a lot of it2 years ago Read more -

Blog postJust in case you didn’t realize that. Because, you know, I haven’t posted anything since January. And I released a book in April, so that was a total fail if I’d ever intended to become one. But I’m not, so that’s cool.
I admire those brave souls who constantly come up with interesting content, become influencers in industry and culture, and use their voices to share their awesomeness. But, again, I am not a blog

Blog postAh, the end of another year. It’s that time we reflect on all the highs and lows and realize how quickly time is passing. Do you make resolutions?
I can happily say that I do not. If I make any kind of resolution, it’s a sure fire way to ensure it will never, ever get done.
And since I’m not much in the mood for bare-your-guts self-reflection today, I’ll share instead something much lighter and a whole lot more fun. Of course, it’ll probably reveal plenty about me once I go in3 years ago Read more -

Blog postOkay, so maybe it is a little early for Christmas. But in the wild world of publishing, it’s never too early to release a Christmas book. So…my newest book baby is born today, Love, Laughter, and Luminarias. You can find out what it’s about in the link.
What I’d like to share today is what a stinkin’ little miracle this book is for me as a writer.

Blog postY’all, I am so excited to share this with you!
This novella was a work of heart that I actually wrote by hand in a journal over several months while working on other projects.
This story came to me all of a sudden. I was awakened with the entire introduction, word for word, and a strange drifting sensation I haven’t experienced since the last time I was on a boat all day (it’s been years). I typed it out into my phone as fast as I could before it faded back into the ether of a4 years ago Read more -
