This is the second book in the Bad Luck Club series, and frankly I started this book and wasn't a hundred precent that I wanted to continue reading as the first chapter is kinda hard to read if you have kids. The reasons I won't say because I don't want to give any spoilers, but if you can get through the first chapter this book is really worth reading. There are moments that will make you laugh, some that might make you cry as well as some that will make you hot. This is not what some would call a "clean romance" this book as some explict scenes that give it it's rating of a Chili Pepper. This is a special story that should help warm your heart for the holiday season, a single mom that is raising a child on the autisum spectrum. A man that is trying to restart his life after being thrown in jail for a long time, and wanting to spend time with kids with autisum. Their lives intersect and then ver off course as things come to light. I loved this story I have to rate it at 4.75 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a romantic comedy with heart. This story is one that I have no problem recommending to pretty much anyone who enjoys a good story.

Neuro-divergent doesn't mean no boundaries

I love that the author included a neuro-divergent character in Aidan and a group like Butterfly Buddies. I work with autistic children and I love their energy and spirits.

My only complaint is that it doesn't seem that Aidan had been taught appropriate boundaries. The tour of the house should NOT have included her underwear drawer. There was no reason for that. Not the first time or the second. And the fact that he said he had snooped in her room and also his opening the front door by himself.

Boundaries are taught to all children. Aidan having autism does not preclude him learning to accept healthy boundaries and behaviors. He could have been taught what was acceptable to show people and what isn't, and that he can show off his own things but doesn't have the right to show what doesn't belong to him. Still, it was refreshing to see him in the story.

Overall, I love how this series has developed beyond the Buchanans. It's fun and I'm looking forward to the next one!

This is a sweet slightly steamy romance full of lovable characters with just a touch of angst. It included witty dialogue, characters with depth, and an engaging storyline. Expect to laugh, cry, happy sigh, grit your teeth, groan and swoon. This is second book in the Bad Luck Club series set in Asheville, North Carolina. It is a wonderful story full of friendship, family, quirky characters, drama, silliness, misunderstandings, and love. Mary, recently separated and raising a 6 year autistic son alone, moved back to Asheville to live closer to her sisters. Jace is an ex-con who has paid dearly for his one immature mistake and he is trying to live his life the best he can. They meet when Jace volunteers to be Mary’s son, Aiden’s, buddy. There is a lot of growth for the main characters as they sort through the pain and messes from their pasts. On their way to their happily ever after, Mary and Jace have to both accept and embrace that happiness and their life paths have more to do with who they want to be and less about their pasts and who they were. The story includes the usual quirky and hilarious side characters. I especially loved the integration of Aiden’s character in the story. He was definitely an integral part rather than just a prop. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

The characters of Aiden and Ben who are on the spectrum are so realistically written and with such beautiful humor. You can not help but love them. The wacky antics of Dottie and Nicole will have you laughing out loud. Mary joins Nicole's Bad Luck Club and the fun really starts there especially when she meets Jace. I love that the story is told both from Jace and Mary's point of view which adds so much to the story. There are twists you do not see coming. A.R. Casella and Denise Grover Swank have really knocked it out of the park with this one. This is one of the funniest rom coms to come out this year and I would give it a ten if I could.
