WOW! This story was very intriguing and intense. Ember started the story with her quitting her job and wanting to travel but her friend had other ideas. Now Ember was in trouble and didn't know who to call so she called Joseph's mother to get in touch with Joseph. Joseph was able to escape death only to go help Ember solve her problem. These two have been given a second chance at romance and their relationship basically became explosive! I loved the chapter with Ember on the horse - that was hilarious! Joseph was able to finally keep Ember safe and these two started their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Kris! I would recommend this book!

1.0 out of 5 starsI AM SO-O-O ANGRY!
Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2018
This book was a 5 star book until the epilogue ending. Joseph and Ember were amazing and devestating by turns. Spoiler alert: I am so angry! Keelee should have been there at the very special occasion in the epilogue! She has been so loyal to Ember, and is Ember's best friend! She's also part of the combined families, and they lied to her about where they were going. If I were Keelee I would have a very hard time ever forgiving any of them- including Ember- for excluding her as usual. She should've at least had the choice of going. I am so angry I could spit! Adam doesn't deserve her! None of them do! And both Ember and Tori plead her case to Adam too! Why didn't Keelee's sister, Tori insist she be there? I realize the author has to set up the plot for the next book but not this way. Just no.

I did not enjoy “Joseph”, the 2nd book of this series at all. The sex throughout this book was disturbing. The ‘H’ can only get off on inflicting pain and depriving oxygen to his sex partner, the ‘h’. There was no romance in this book, no connection between the ‘H’ and ‘h’, it was strictly painful and demeaning sex. On several occasions the ‘H’ actually held his hand over the ‘h’ mouth to stop her screaming.

The ‘h’, is a complete submissive. Anything and everything the ‘H’ wants to do to her, she is OK with because ‘she has always loved the H’. Very weak character.

He keeps calling her ‘little girl’ and tells her ‘he is so proud of her’ for enduring his kind of sex. I wanted to throw up that the ‘h’ was stupid enough to think this was wonderful endearments.

I am not going to read anymore in this series. I think you either love these books or you hate them.... I don't care for stories that focus so much on the alpha. The heroine is an ER doc and very little of the book is devoted to her... it's all about these guys... ugh! I read from the stand point of the female by comparison....in the first and second book it's like something happens... man to the rescue and the women sit and wait while we hear over rated stories of their kills. I prefer to read about the heroine being involved... not sitting like a duck at the "ranch". They are all rich and perfect... really??? The stories start off great to me but plummet when the men enter the picture... no longer a romance but a story about a bunch of perfect wealthy men talking in codes stringing these helpless females along.

I love this series!
It has everything that makes a great romance...The King's, a close knit, loving family who work for Guardian. And an extended family of elite alpha warriors.
Who are sworn to protect and eliminate the evildoers of the world.
Then there are the people that love them.
I say people because the King's are brothers and sisters. This is only book 2 and it's about Joseph King, but I bet the girls will get there HEAs too along with the extended family.
This is a series that will last for awhile.
Happy Reading:-)

I could not put it down. So so good and very unpredictable. I picked up book 1 several days ago and proceeded to purchased more books (subject to my budget). Wow to the max. This is Joseph's story, his and a childhood friend. The best part of the story is reconnecting with beloved characters from book 1 (this is a standalone book but so much better when read in order). I laughed out loud, I wanted to reach through the pages to swat a few of the boys. Page turning and many, many twists and turns. I am looking forward to the upcoming books. Truly bravo!!

This book was a real winner! It was a wonderfully interesting read! The twists and turns, the suspense, the unique plot were all excellent! I could not put it down. It starts out with a bang and grabs your attention from page one and the action and drama never lets up! I love the romance between Ember and Joseph..... It was sexy, and sweet, at the same time! It was so satisfying to see a couple who loved each other as teenagers and parted without angst and drama come back together years later. I also really enjoyed reading about Jacob and Tori and the whole team again. Even though each book is a stand -alone the story flows beautifully from one book to the next. All in all I thought it was really really good and highly recommend it!!!😁

Fury aka Joseph King is the best in the World. Assassin.problem solver but the worst with his feelings. Ember is a Dr. A genius level Dr. Joseph and Amber were high school sweethearts. They broke after graduation and led different lives for 16 years!! Ember gets in trouble and calls him for help. Unknown to her he has a terrible injury. The travel together and they pick up where they left off. But he is a rough, gruff, anti social man. He is extremely controlling. Their HEA if long and rough.

This book was about the oldest King brother. Joseph has worked off the grid for more years than he wants to remember. His code name tells you what he is. Ember has known him since high school when she moved to his hometown. She was smart and beautiful. She caught the attention of the King brothers when she was bullied by others. He became her protector. Now sixteen years later she needs his help. And he will do anything to protect her again. Can he save her from his past? Will she be willing to let him go? Loved reading about his down fall. Have read about him in other books in the Guardian sets.

Absolutely loved Joseph book two of Kris Michael's Kings of Guardian. Joseph aka Fury is the oldest brother, protector of the family since sixteen, loner stays to himself most of the time and full time assassin for Guardian. Ember was his high school sweetheart and best friend, he hasn't not seen or heard from her since they graduated high school. She is his one true love, when she phones him for help because she in trouble. Joseph will stop at nothing to keep her safe. He knows he can't give her an HEA but he can give her now.
Take a wild ride with Michael's Joseph into the world of assassins, secret agents and lots of bedroom fun. This can be read as a standalone but I suggest starting with book one Jacob for a better understanding of the characters and storyline. Happy Reading!!!📚
