About the Author
James Fridman is a British graphic designer based in London who has grown a huge social media following by taking requests for photograph alterations and editing them as asked for - but with a comedic twist. His work has been featured in many publications, from BuzzFeed and Mashable to the Huffington Post, the Metro and The Daily Telegraph.
While he’s not studying the basics of Photoshop, James spends most of his time working with the James Fridman Foundation to support children and young people affected by social issues. At the foundation, one of the main goals is to create awareness of the importance of self-acceptance among children through various art and creativity projects.
To communicate this vision to a much younger audience, James created Bobli, a genderless creature with imperfections – uneven legs, wonky eyes and a mouth that appears both happy and sad at the same time. Right after Bobli’s story went live, children from all over the world started sending heart-warming letters, sharing their daily struggles with Bobli. James is currently working on a Bobli children’s book.

Second, once I got to looking through the book and felt the amusement it brought me, I decided it was a keeper. Just glanced through it before writing this and I still feel the same. This guy is funny with his edits and I hope to get some great ideas from the book.

For those who need a quick intro: he's the guy that people ask to photoshop their images and he does it in the funniest way imaginable, such as exaggerating the request, taking it literally or inserting unintended consequences.
Nearly every page has a genuine laugh out loud image that at points caused my wife and I to literally wet ourselves laughing at points. We haven't read something this funny for so long.
He also has a couple of sweet images where he encourages people who want to remove "defects" to love themselves as they are.
Anyway, do yourself a favour and buy one today and for everyone who needs a laugh this Christmas - this man has brought so much laughter into the world that it's nice to finally be able to give something back to him.

Oh and his philosophy from the very beginning of accepting yourself and not focusing on what everyone else thinks couldn’t be more on point right now. Highly recommended!
