Good entertainment, funny.

Another Adam Sandler Movie... if you like his movies you know what to expect. Good, funny, not the best ever, but good. So stop saying its a remake of the same movie over and over. It is just his style of movies. I prefer his movies to the Seth Rogen movies which only makes jokes about farts, and say the F word like a million times. Better something funny and ok to watch with family.

Watch only if the grass is already grown and the paint is already dry.

I know it’s not meant to be a serious piece but it seemed hard to get through. While theirs is an unlikely pairing, Aniston and Sandler genuinely seem to like each other which helps the idea of them as a couple.
The really unbelievable choice is Sandler’s love interest, about 20 years his junior, where there is simply zero screen chemistry.
The story is neither hilarious nor compelling and the characters are flat and underdeveloped. Particularly obnoxious are the buddy with a stupid German accent any moron could see through and the young daughter whose horrible wavering cockney imitation and perpetual gosh-darned spunk would make Mickey Rooney and Shirley Temple walk out of the theatre in high dudgeon.

Brutally bad

I recently watched 'Murder Mystery' with Sandler and Aniston on Netflix, which was surprisingly good, so I gave this a try. It was awful. So cheesey and embarrassing for both of them. The idea that Aniston's stunning character needed a makeover to suddenly reveal that she was a stunning woman, is 90s teen movie goofy. Brooklyn Decker is gorgeous in this. The only other thing I've seen her in is Grace and Frankie. I actually liked her better in this film. But overall it was so cheesey that I couldn't make it past the first 30 minutes.

Very heartwarming and feel good movie

Jennifer Aniston does a great job of portraying a normal/average young lady who mostly has her life together but is young enough to still want a relationship and has the body and personality to eventually be noticed by her boss. She comes across real and genuine makes you believe she is just rocking along working with her boss Adam Sandler being his assistant and obviously trusted friend.
Adam Sandler does a fair job of convincing us he really wants a relationship, all be it with a very hot young lady. He finally realizes she is not what he wants. He wants a lady like his assistant. I don't think Sandler is very capable of portraying any character at a very genuine and serious level. He manages to barely pull this off. Aniston actually is the character who is convincing and we want to gravitate to as the movie progresses. Without her the movie probably would not be very good.

What a Pleasant Surprise!

I just wanted something lighthearted and fun to escape for a couple of hours, and I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. If you like Adam Sandler movies like The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Pixels, etc, I think you'll like this, too. Full of silliness, fun, and physical comedy, it's a farcical tale told by beautiful people in beautiful scenery. Not a bad way to spend an evening, frankly.

One caveat/FYI: there was a joke toward the end at the expense of an LGBT character that I didn't care for/thought was in questionable taste.

Cute story, with a great background in Hawaii
Verified purchase
I started watching on TV channel but hated the long commercials. The hubby suggested that I rent in on Amazon. So, I did. Cute story with some funny lines Great back ground in Hawaii. Seems Adam Sandler loves to go to Hawaii to film movies. A young doctor finds out that his bride to be didn't really want to marry him for him, just for the job he was going to be a heart surgeon. Take about gold digging tramp. Then leaves and at a bar gets laid and decides to pretend he is married and having troubles with his wife, so he can continued to get laid. The typical gotta lie to look good and to win whomever or whatever and brings in others to help them lie. One verse that Jennifer Aniston says. "I've got to have note cards to keep up with all of your lies." Or something to that effect. Funny though

My Opinion, Adam Sandlers best comedy
Verified purchase
One of Adam Sandlers best movies. Chemistry with Jennier Aniston in my opinion was the best of all his leading ladies he' had in his other films. Also stars Nicole Kidman as Jennifer Anistons Frenemy and Dave Matthews was superb as her husband. However the two kids that played Jennifer Anistons kids stole the movie

FUN ROM/COM, but an interesting side to Adam Sandler
Verified purchase
Definitely a romantic comedy, and while Adam had some great lines, he almost played straight man to the other actors.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler played well off each other and there were some silly, but pretty funny scenes from the other actors. A surprise to see Dave Matthews show up and thought he did a great job at playing, well, I don't want to add a spoiler!

Do watch for the scene with the sheep though! I am SURE no animals were harmed during that scene, you can tell most of it was a sheep dummy, but just slapstick quirky.
