We tried the Kandao and the Owl labs at our office. The camera quality with the Kandao was noticably better. The picture was clear and sharp, while the owl was...not.
The tracking on the camera isn't perfect, but works about 80% of the time in my experience. There are 4 different modes, that you can select (on-the-fly) to try and find tune your experience.
We tested it out in a room that was about 20 ft wide and 40+ ft long. While people at the far end needed to speak up a bit, the Kandao was able to pick it up and turn the camera to face the person...pretty impressive.
For the camera to focus on a person, it took about 2-3 seconds of speaking before recognizing it was "worth the switch".
I think this helps (overall) so people don't experience a ping-pong effect.
Overall, the unit is sturdy and we're happy.
Right now I'm trying to see if we can include wireless mikes with it to help with bigger rooms.
