USA Today Bestselling author Patricia Davids grew up on a Kansas farm with four brothers. After college she began a wonderful career as a nurse. In 1973 Pat wrote a letter to a lonely sailor. Little did she know her talent with words would bring her love, marriage and motherhood.

An avid reader, Pat longed to write a book, but put her dream on hold as she raised a family and worked in an NICU. It wasn't until 1996 that she began writing seriously. Today, Pat enjoys crafting emotionally satisfying romances where love and faith bring two people together forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Story Of Redemption!
Reviewed in Canada on December 18, 2020
Katie Lantz ran away from home after she lost her parents in a fire. She ran away with her English boyfriend to get out under her brother's tyrannical rules and harsh treatment. Her boyfriend leaves her and Katie has no place to go, but back home to Hope Springs. Nine months pregnant, she takes a bus to go back home to her brother’s house but found out he had sold the property and moved. After arriving at her former farm she went into labor. The new owners Elam and his mother Nettie take Katie under their roof until she can get well enough to find her brother. But the longer Katie and her baby stay the more she longs for her Amish roots and plain life that she left behind. Elam is enthralled with her and adores her baby making it hard for Katie to decide whether to go or stay. Great read and not a dragged out sappy love story. The heart of the book leaves you with the feeling that every person that does mess up deserves redemption and forgiveness!
