About Kay Correll
Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, playing with her puppies--two cavaliers and a naughty Australian shepherd, or knitting. Their five boys are all grown now, not that Kay believes that males ever truly grow up, but she's fine with that.

Blog postI’m diligently working on finishing up the first books in my series, Comfort Crossing. The beginning of the series will be available at Amazon, Apple iBooks, and Barnes and Noble. I hope you will enjoy getting to know the townsfolk in Comfort Crossing as much as I have. Comfort Crossing is a mixup of small towns I’ve lived in or visited in my life. I drew upon my experience living in Carriere, Mississippi which is right out of Picayune. I love the names of the towns in southern Mississippi. T7 years ago Read more

Annie Davenport owns the cheerful Bookish Cafe in the charming town of Sweet River Falls. She’s perfectly content with her life.
That is until Nick Chambers returns to town.
Nick takes a leave of absence from his medical practice to accept a temporary university teaching position. He didn’t dream he’d run into Annie again after all these years.
But fate has other plans, as it often does.
Sparks fly between them once again—or maybe they never died. After doing their best to avoid each other and failing miserably, Nick and Annie make a tentative truce and agree to put their past behind them.
Nick helps remodel the loft area above her shop that she’s hoping to have finished before the May Festival and the start of the busy tourist season. But a terrible accident reminds Nick why he left his medical practice and why he needs to move on from Sweet River Falls.
Once again, they want—and need—different things out of life. Dreams and reality collide. But maybe this time the fates will be kinder. Maybe this time they can find A Dream to Believe In.
A Dream to Believe In is book one in the feel-good fiction Sweet River series. Meet Annie and her best friend, Nora. Together they experience small-town life at its best and its worst, struggle to keep their businesses afloat, and maybe, just maybe, find love when it’s least expected.

Jamie McFarlane has one wish — to make a success of the coastal inn he and his mother inherited. He gets his chance to boost the inn's reputation as a premier wedding destination by putting together a perfect wedding for his childhood friend, Cindy. There’s only one problem — as Cindy and Jamie rekindle their relationship, he realizes his feelings run deeper than mere friendship.
If he gives Cindy the wedding of her dreams, he'll miss his one chance with her. If he stops the wedding, he'll crush her dream and lose his opportunity to save the inn.
Sometimes, the wishes a person makes don’t come true — and sometimes unspoken wishes are the best wishes of all.

When Ruby and David meet on the beach and slowly become friends, they both begin to think they just might have a chance for a new life. Ben disagrees—loudly and often. The last thing his mother needs is a man in her life. Especially one who is just on the island for a short visit.
But when David finds out the one thing Ruby doesn’t need might be exactly what he has to offer, their happiness is in jeopardy. Even the unwavering support of the Yarnies can’t change the cold hard facts.

She moves in with her life-long friend, Robin, and attempts to find her love of painting again and prove to her family that she’s a successful artist. A bonus would be if she could make a bit of money from it so she could pay the bills…
Ben works nonstop running the marina he took over when his father suddenly passed away. That, along with keeping an eye on his mother and restoring his father’s old boat keep him impossibly busy.
But then Charlotte comes back to town and he can’t quite keep his mind on business…
Though Charlotte is convinced that Ben still has a crush on her beautiful, captivating sister. What man doesn’t? Eva, the golden daughter, draws everyone’s attention when she enters the room.
