Twelve years ago, Rhona Shaw was forced to marry the devil Duncan MacAdder instead of Royce MacRob, and hatred erupted between the Shaw and MacRob clans. Now Rhona is free, and she knows only she and Royce can end the feud—by getting married. Their previous passion flares when they meet again, but old anger is hard to dispel.
Royce has spent the last twelve years simultaneously trying to convince himself he hates Rhona for marrying another and refusing to consider any other woman as his wife. And her proposal sends him reeling. But he knows she’s right—only they can convince King Alexander that their clans have made peace and he should stop his interference.
But villainy from a surprising source, a devastating revelation, and long-nurtured resentments threaten the happiness they’ve waited for so long
The Shaws and MacRobs trilogy follows three couples as they find unexpected love in the midst of an ongoing clan conflict. While each couple gets an HEA at the end of their story, the mystery behind the feud carries across all three books. For the best experience, reading the series in order is strongly recommended.

A fatal illness has ravaged his clan, taking not only his parents and his wife, but so many others of the clan, it’s being called the curse of Black Isle. Worse, as heir to the chieftain, now Marcas must be both leader and savior to his people–but they are losing faith in him. Already there are murmurs that his poor decisions brought the curse, causing him to doubt his own ability to head the clan. And he will beg, barter, or steal one if necessary

Her over-protective father, a former spy and feared lethal agent for the Crown, will come for her. Her captor must be daft to kidnap the daughter of Logan Ramsay. But when Brigid realizes a child’s life is in danger, she softens toward her kidnapper, and vows to help him. As they work together, Brigid can’t deny the traitorous attraction she feels nor that she’s falling in love. But how could Marcas ever love her when she’s not the great healer he thought…?
Can Brigid save Marcas’ daughter’s life before her own father arrives and rains hell down from the Highlands?
Elizabeth Grant has a secret. For six moons, she’s carried on a torrid relationship with Gil, one of the orphans raised by her cousin Loki at Castle Curanta. She loves Gil, but she’s not ready to marry, and he has reasons of his own to put off a wedding, including his doubt that her father, the great Alexander Grant, would ever accept him as a viable match. There’s one problem with their arrangement—Elizabeth’s parents are encouraging her to marry, and some of her suitors are not so easily put off.
Gil hopes to prove himself worthy of Elizabeth so their doomed dance can come to an end, but he doubts he’ll ever succeed. Then he’s injured on a mission for Loki, and his love rushes to his side, their secret suddenly revealed to all. True happiness seems within their grasp, if Gil can only heal, when something unthinkable happens.

Seeing his brothers’ happiness with the women they love, Shaw Matheson realizes he wants the same for himself. And he knows Tara Cameron is the lass for him. But with most of his coin going to a mysterious blackmailer, he can’t in good conscience court the beautiful, kind-hearted lass who helped rescue his clan from its curse. He must first lay the ghosts of his past to rest and discover who is demanding payment to keep an old secret that could ruin him and his clan forever.
When the ghost of a beautiful white horse asks Tara to help free it from the web of lies keeping it chained and unable to rest, she hardly knows where to start. So she goes to Shaw for help. Any excuse to spend more time with him is fine with her. As their investigations become more entwined, so do their hearts, despite the ghosts and lies that keep them apart.
The future of Black Isle lies in the balance—only the truth and the courage to tell it can save Shaw, Tara, and everyone they love.
Loki Grant’s first memories are of living in a crate behind an inn in Ayr, struggling to survive. Clan Grant saved him from his lonely existence and took him in as one of their own. But though the Highlands have become his home and he loves his adopted parents, Brodie and Celestina, Loki feels lost. Part of him is still that scrappy wee lad who relied on his wits to survive the streets, and he is not sure he belongs. The feistiest and most beautiful lass in the clan, Arabella, steals his heart, but when her father resists the match because Loki is not of clan blood, Loki decides to confront his past. He wishes to satisfy Bella’s father by discovering his parentage, but he also hopes his quest will help him understand his purpose.
As far as Arabella is concerned, Loki Grant is the wiliest, brawest, and most handsome warrior in existence. She is determined to have him as her husband regardless of what her father thinks. So when Loki’s search for his sire leads him into trouble, she rushes headlong after him.
Together, Loki and Arabella must discover the dark secrets of Loki’s origins, for only by confronting the past can they hope for a bright future together.
Lily Ramsay is the sunshine at the center of the Ramsay clan. Even as a wee lassie, sick with a childhood illness, she had the power to spread smiles and laughter wherever she went. But when Lily’s beloved brother marries and becomes laird of the clan, Lily feels lost. Her once steadfast companion has little time for her, and his new wife has assumed the duties she used to carry out for the clan. While she couldn’t be happier for her loved ones, she longs for something more for herself. In truth, she longs for her brother’s best friend—the braw warrior she’s loved all her life.
Kyle Maule has made it his mission to do aught he can to honor his sire’s legacy. His appointment as the new Ramsay laird’s second is a dream come true, but Lily Ramsay’s beauty and irrepressible spirit threaten to make Kyle forget himself and fumble on the job. Desperate to do his duty to his laird and his fallen sire, Kyle tries to quell his feelings for Lily—to protect her without succumbing to the desire to be with her. But Lily is not the sort of lass to be held at arm’s length. When an unexpected threat befalls her, Kyle will have to decide to either let her in all the way or step away from her forever.
A stand-alone novel.
Bethia may be the former Ramsay laird’s daughter, but she fears she’ll never marry. She loves her cousins, but their beauty makes her feel plump and plain in comparison. The lads never notice her like they do the others. She’s most confident when she’s nursing the clan’s animals back to health, yet her heart desires a family of her own. Then a man rushes to the castle gates, desperate for someone to save his dog, and Bethia’s simple life changes forever.
The tragedy in Donnan’s past ruined him. For the past two years, he has shunned his adopted clan. He now lives alone, beyond the castle gates, and associates only with his beloved dogs. But when one of the dogs is injured, and beautiful Bethia is the one who treats her, he realizes there may be room in his heart to love again. Her kindness is just the salve he needs to recover from the past—if he can bring himself to share his secrets with her.
The Ramsays’ enemy, Bearchun, watches them, eager to ruin the clan once and for all. He’s certain that Bethia and Donnan might be the key to destroying them. But has he underestimated the two misfits?
Ashlyn was a wee lassie of eight summers when her mother brought her and her sister to live in the safety of Clan Grant. But despite the love and acceptance of her adoptive clan, Ashlyn is plagued by the past. Her continual nightmares—and her hatred of lads who hurt lasses—drive her to join the search for Ranulf MacNiven, an abuser of women. Ashlyn’s skills with the bow and her knowledge of MacNiven make her a natural fit for the mission, so her uncle, Chief Alexander Grant, gives her permission to join them, on one condition: she will be sent with a protector.
Magnus never thought he would marry again after losing his beloved wife, but Ashlyn Grant is one of a kind. Her fiery nature creates an answering fire within him, and he longs to soothe her hurts and help heal her soul. When his chief assigns him to protect Ashlyn, he is determined to do his job well, even though the lass will not let him touch her, let alone protect her.
To their mutual surprise, the more time Magnus spends with Ashlyn, the more he gets through to her. But can two people who are determined not to fall in love hope to forge a future together?
While other lasses dream of handsome Highlanders, Molly wishes for nothing more than to make her adoptive parents proud. She’ll never forget that Logan and Gwyneth Ramsay, famed spies for the Scottish Crown, saved her from a lifetime of servitude. So when Ranulf MacNiven threatens the Ramsay clan yet again, Molly is determined to catch him for her parents. There’s only one problem. The Grants have sent a group of guards to help search for the outlaw, and one of them—a handsome, braw lad who makes Molly’s heart pound faster—is as intent on gaining glory as she is...
For years, Tormod Moriston has longed to prove himself to his sire. When his laird asks him to join a mission to capture Ranulf MacNiven, he’s certain the opportunity he’s always yearned for has arrived. But naught goes as planned. Molly Ramsay, the daughter of the man helming the mission, is as kind and comely as she is fierce and cunning. Tormod is tempted to open his heart to her. But Molly longs for the same recognition he does. Will loving her mean giving up his dream?
When MacNiven makes his cruelest attack yet, Molly and Tormod must work together to take down Scotland’s most elusive villain—and each must decide what they want most: love or glory.
Sorcha Ramsay is as willful as she is beautiful, and she has mastered the art of convincing others to do her bidding. She coerces a few guards to bring her on a hunting trip, but when an unidentified archer targets them, Sorcha is restricted to the castle grounds. Worse, she’s assigned a lout of a guardian—Cailean, the maddeningly handsome guard who saved her from the archer—until her sire returns from a visit to the Grants. How can she show her sire, the infamous Logan Ramsay, she’s grown up if she’s not allowed her freedom?
Though he intends never to marry, Cailean finds himself captivated by Sorcha’s beauty and brash charm. He’s determined to keep her safe from the archer, whether she wants him to or not. Then Sorcha’s sire returns with news that has the potential to ignite the Highlands: Laird Alexander Grant has been badly injured. Trouble is brewing, and the archer, who may or may not be connected to a larger plot against the Ramsays and the Grants, continues to target Sorcha.
As the danger mounts and Cailean and Sorcha are brought together again and again, their heated attraction becomes a deeper connection. But can Cailean convince Logan, the most fearsome man in the Highlands, that he is a worthy match for his firstborn daughter?
Torrian Ramsay, future laird of the Ramsay clan, learned long ago not to take his family for granted. Without the love and devotion of his sire, he would never have survived the childhood illness that kept him abed for years. Now Torrian is a strapping lad, unrecognizable as the sickly laddie of his past, but one thing has not changed—he will still do aught in his power to make his sire proud. So when the King of the Scots asks him to enter into a betrothal with Davina Buchan, the daughter of a power-hungry laird, he feels he has no choice. Though Torrian is certain the lass’s family has hidden motives, his sire believes in following their king’s orders, and besides, the marriage will help keep peace in the Highlands.
Then Torrian meets Heather, a wild-haired lass who’s spent the past years living in nature with her wee daughter, away from any clan. With Heather, he discovers that love has a power as strong as duty. To marry as his heart desires, Torrian must prove that the Buchans are not what they seem, but time is not on his side. He will need to rely on his family and friends to help him convince his sire—and his king—that he should be allowed to make his own match.
Kyla Grant once believed her sire, the legendary Alexander Grant, was invincible, but his brush with death changed her mind. The whole clan is still reeling from Alex’s battle injury when a new threat arises from their long-time rivals, the Buchan clan. Kyla, convinced that the Grants cannot take another battle, is desperate for a peaceful resolution. Her plan is to make a personal appeal to the Buchan’s only living child, Davina, but she knows her parents would never allow her to risk her safety…
Finlay MacNicol is always quick with a joke, but life has never given him less to laugh about. His mother is dying, and yet another battle is on the horizon. When his laird assembles a group of warriors for a scouting mission to the Buchans, Finlay does his duty and joins them. He thought he knew what to expect from the mission, but he certainly didn’t expect that Kyla would sneak along, or that his laird would assign him as her protector. Kyla’s beauty has always affected Finlay, but her bravery and sweetness soon stir deeper feelings.
After visiting Davina, Kyla becomes determined to rescue the lass from the clutches of her abusive sire. Finlay agrees to help her, but there’s a risk they may provoke a war rather than prevent one.
