Catherine and Graeme have already lived two lives together. Their third will be the hardest yet.
Cait has lost everything—her home, her parents, both her sisters, and her freedom. Forced into a brothel, she can see no light, no future. Until she’s purchased by a stranger to be his bride. But after everything she’s experienced, she doesn’t see how a man—even a handsome Highland chieftain—could possibly bring her any kind of happiness.
Graeme MacGruder didn’t go to Glasgow in search of a wife but his sister Jeanie, who disappeared when his parents’ traveling party was ambushed along the road. Now he’s the chieftain of his clan, and his first two orders of business are to find his missing sister and avenge his parents. He buys Cait hoping that she might have news of Jeanie.
Cait and Graeme join forces in common cause: vengeance. But achieving that goal might cost them a lifetime of happiness together—and their eternal souls.
Twelve years ago, Rhona Shaw was forced to marry the devil Duncan MacAdder instead of Royce MacRob, and hatred erupted between the Shaw and MacRob clans. Now Rhona is free, and she knows only she and Royce can end the feud—by getting married. Their previous passion flares when they meet again, but old anger is hard to dispel.
Royce has spent the last twelve years simultaneously trying to convince himself he hates Rhona for marrying another and refusing to consider any other woman as his wife. And her proposal sends him reeling. But he knows she’s right—only they can convince King Alexander that their clans have made peace and he should stop his interference.
But villainy from a surprising source, a devastating revelation, and long-nurtured resentments threaten the happiness they’ve waited for so long
The Shaws and MacRobs trilogy follows three couples as they find unexpected love in the midst of an ongoing clan conflict. While each couple gets an HEA at the end of their story, the mystery behind the feud carries across all three books. For the best experience, reading the series in order is strongly recommended.

A lass in desperate need.
Will destiny be on their side in Scotland’s War of Independence?
Destiny sent the famous warrior Alexander Grant three grandsons on the same day, at the same time. Or so the story goes. Alasdair Grant, one of the three, struggles to believe he has any special purpose. The future has never seemed bleaker for Scotland—or for Alasdair’s own family. And yet, he cannot help but wonder if fate has reached for him at last when his grandsire sends him to MacLintock Castle to help Emmalin MacLintock, the very lass who has possessed his thoughts.
Emmalin would have been laird of her castle had she not been forced to marry a controlling English baron. Her heart longs for a different life, a life in which she leads her people and a handsome, strong Highlander stands by her side. A Highlander like Alasdair Grant. When the baron dies unexpectedly, Emmalin is relieved, but that feeling quickly fades when an English garrison shows up to storm her castle. Worse, there’s evidence someone in her life might be in league with them.
Alasdair and one of his cousins arrive in Emmalin’s hour of need, giving Emmalin a glimpse of what life might be like with him by her side. If Alasdair can open his wounded heart to Emmalin, it will bring him one step closer to his destiny, but he’ll need to have faith in himself—and in Scotland—to do so.
Seeing his brothers’ happiness with the women they love, Shaw Matheson realizes he wants the same for himself. And he knows Tara Cameron is the lass for him. But with most of his coin going to a mysterious blackmailer, he can’t in good conscience court the beautiful, kind-hearted lass who helped rescue his clan from its curse. He must first lay the ghosts of his past to rest and discover who is demanding payment to keep an old secret that could ruin him and his clan forever.
When the ghost of a beautiful white horse asks Tara to help free it from the web of lies keeping it chained and unable to rest, she hardly knows where to start. So she goes to Shaw for help. Any excuse to spend more time with him is fine with her. As their investigations become more entwined, so do their hearts, despite the ghosts and lies that keep them apart.
The future of Black Isle lies in the balance—only the truth and the courage to tell it can save Shaw, Tara, and everyone they love.
But are their differences too great to overcome?
Jennet Ramsey has lost her dearest friend. Not to death, but to marriage. The inseparable girls grew up traveling with Jennet’s mother, the most renowned healer in Scotland. Now alone, Jennet feels adrift with no compass. She’s a talented healer but lacks self-confidence and is considered socially inept and cold due to her analytical mind. With her friend married, Jennet is isolated and wonders if she’ll ever find her own happiness or true purpose on Black Isle. Then, when summoned back home to cure the mysterious illness ailing her father, she fails miserably, and her father lashes out at her. Leaving the Ramsey keep in humiliation, she’s abducted. Resourceful and clever, she claims to be a witch and uses trickery to make her captors believe she’s cursed them, fooling all but one of them, an evil man whose vile intentions could leave her dead.
Ethan Matheson is considered odd. Intensely loyal, he’s a fierce warrior and deadly with a dagger. A born voyager skilled with direction and tracking, he could lead large groups of men, but prefers the solitude of the stars because they never change or deceive him. However, one woman on Black Isle makes him rethink his stance on being alone—if only he could forget his past and learn to trust again. Encouraged by his brothers, Ethan insists he escort Jennet on her trip to Ramsey keep, hoping to have a chance to get to know her. But a misunderstanding between them has Ethan leaving early, feeling, once again, that he will never find someone to share his life with. As he rides, he can’t rid himself of the foreboding sensation Jennet is in trouble and rushes back in time to rescue her.
Soon after they arrive at Black Isle, news of her ‘witchcraft’ spreads and she is to be tried and put to death. But Ethan will not lose his one chance at happiness—no matter what he must do.
The open road has tempted Padraig Grant his whole life. He’s not suited for life in the lists, training warriors for the battlefield. His calling is somewhere over the next hill. Or maybe it’s right in front of him, in the alluring form of Gisela Matheson. If only she weren’t already betrothed to Donald MacKinnie, the Scourge of Black Isle.
Gisela remembers when Donald was courteous and honorable. But the man has changed, turning cruel and possessive. Even if her life hadn’t been thrown into chaos by the Matheson Curse, she wouldn’t want to become his bride. Padraig, on the other hand…well, he’s one she can’t get enough of. He brings light to her world, and she might think about marrying him, if he didn’t have a wanderer’s soul. Marrying another would solve her problem with Donald, though.
Driven by jealousy, Donald issues an ultimatum: Either Padraig leaves Black Isle and Gisela, or innocents die. Padraig must choose between leaving his true love to save lives or stay and protect her and see more people hurt. Suddenly the distant horizon isn’t quite so tempting. But staying might be worse.
Her love.
Marcas Matheson’s life has spiraled out of control. A fatal illness has ravaged his clan, taking not only his parents and his wife, but so many others of the clan, it’s being called the curse of Black Isle. Worse, as heir to the chieftain, now Marcas must be both leader and savior to his people–but they are losing faith in him. Already there are murmurs that his poor decisions brought the curse, causing him to doubt his own ability to head the clan. But when his small daughter takes sick, Marcas has no problem making a decision: he must find a healer–one gifted enough to save his little lass’s life. And he will beg, barter, or steal one if necessary
When healer Brigid Ramsay is abducted in the middle of the night, she knows she just has to bide her time. Her over-protective father, a former spy and feared lethal agent for the Crown, will come for her. Her captor must be daft to kidnap the daughter of Logan Ramsay. But when Brigid realizes a child’s life is in danger, she softens toward her kidnapper, and vows to help him. As they work together, Brigid can’t deny the traitorous attraction she feels nor that she’s falling in love. But how could Marcas ever love her when she’s not the great healer he thought…?
Can Brigid save Marcas’ daughter’s life before her own father arrives and rains hell down from the Highlands?
Two soulmates, Catherine and Graeme, are about to be reborn again, and their new lives will bring them back to Scotland. Only this time, they will find themselves in the midst of a bitter conflict between Scotland and England. With new names and no memory of their connection, will they be able to find each other and stay together?
Cara Breckenbridge’s life is torn apart when the English storm her small village. Her husband knew they were coming, but bitterness toward the English convinced him to stay and make a stand, even though he knew his wife and sons would pay the price. Cara’s husband is killed and the baron who ordered his death nearly slays her, too—only his marshal, Gabriel Montgomerie, saves her life. Instead of killing her and the lads, the baron entrusts them to Gabriel’s care, with a rather distressing order: Cara is to spy on the Scots for the English, or else the boys will be killed.
Although Cara is a true Scot, she will do anything to save her family. To her shock, as she spends more time with Gabriel, she begins to realize that the Englishman is a good man...and she feels inexplicably drawn to him. But when they catch whispers of a plan being concocted by rebellious Scots, what will win out, Cara’s loyalty to her sons and the man who saved them or her love for her country ?

The two have practiced side by side for years, dreaming of the day they’ll finally be able to defend their clan.
As they embark on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, Chrissa and Drostan’s friendship turns into something deeper and stronger. For Drostan, it’s a dream come true—he’s loved Chrissa almost as long as he’s wanted to be a Grant warrior. But a dark force is gathering around Clan Grant, and it threatens to swallow them up.
Chrissa and Drostan’s ability to survive depends on their faith in each other, and they mustn’t fail. The fate of Clan Grant hangs in the balance.
