My friend and I were watching a Chris Delia Podcast and he was showing us this tripod he uses for his own podcast show. Well, my friend and I were both impressed with this tripod so we both got one and they are amazing!! Its the perfect item for video chats, video recordings, long exposure camera shots, watching videos, etc. It's the total complete hands free package. Only draw back is you can't charge while using the tripod because it occupies the charging port.

Marketing and the coolness got me in this purchase.

From the short number of times I used it, it worked great. Although still I little bulky, it complemented my keys.

Now the bads...
- the screw that holds the legs kept coming loose (not from usage strangely)
- I kept tightening them until one day the screw was lost for one of the legs.
- good thing there's a bottle opener as that's the leg I was able to keep. No mount but a bottle opener.
- then that screw went loose. As you can imagine, I was frustrated as I never opened the leg. Why would I as I can't use it as a mount.
- lost that leg.
- threw it away after then.

Okay. So I ordered a second one...

I love that it sits so low and doesn’t topple over because you have these weird long bendy legs.

But seriously? I ordered a second one because ONE leg on the first was loose. I tried to fix it by tightening it, and it has come lose again. It still works but I believe things should work properly.

Okay... so my second one? Same thing happens! No, I haven’t confused it for the first one. I have them side by side and well, maybe this is just how they’re made.

All that being said it does what it is supposed to but you can only use it at one height. Never higher than the lowest height because of the leg situation.

Fits in my pocket and is great for what I expect of it.

Update of this... the second one I purchased has the same issue of one loose leg. To the point they the phone doesn’t even stand up. I wouldn’t invest in this shotty piece of junk again.

Great concept. Poor execution.

Reasons I purchased this product:
Travel - I wanted a device that could hold my phone in landscape mode to view movies on a plane.
Looks - For some reason I took looks into consideration on an iPhone tripod? Anyways, I thought it looked better than a cheap plastic stand. It's small, portable and looks nice. Plus has a bottle opener.

Impressions:
As a landscape stand to view movies on a plane, it's meh. The stand works, but I find that I still have to hold the opposite side of the phone to keep it from sliding while on a plane. Sometimes when the air is calm it doesn't move, but I find that I am constantly messing with the stand in some way or another.

A side note, that might also be a turn off... About half the time, TSA now searches my bag to figure out what this small metal object is. After they find the stand they unfold the legs and look at me with a weird face. I tell them it's an iPhone stand and they so far have always given it back.

Conclusion: Would I buy this stand again? No, probably not. Does it work for me and will I continue to use it? Yes. If you plan to use this on an airplane, I would recommend getting a cheap plastic stand. It will hold your phone better and you won't get stopped by TSA 50% of the time.

I bought this product in August. And like a lot of people have mentioned, one leg was really loose when it arrived. But I thought it was just my particular item. The screw eventually fell out of the loose leg. My local Ace Hardware was able to insert a different screw, but it wasn't a perfect match. Finally lost that screw as well so I'm back here about to buy this again. I love the functionality of the stand. It's compact enough to fit in my pocket so I always keep it with me. I primarily use to hold the phone horizontally when I'm streaming videos and it works great. Don't think I've tried to use it where the phone is vertical and sits on top. It doesn't cost too much for the use I got out of it, so I don't mind buying another one -- at least this time. And going by other comments, I don't have too much hope that the next one I buy will be any sturdier. But, this will be my last time buying this, regardless of cost.

I originally bought this. it was on sale on Amazon, I saw it for much more at Best Buy. I wish I could return it, but didn’t want to have to pay for the return fees since it was literally half of what I paid for so I’m deciding to keep it. First of all, if you have a case, it may not fit in the lightning jack. This product is meant for iPhones with no cases, because of the three leg stand, The weight of the iPhone is important, or it will topple over if it has a case or it’s too heavy. Construction material is impressive, and the bottle opener is convenient. That’s about it.

I absolutely love this tripod. It's compact, sturdy, and the bottle opener is a cherry on top. My ONLY complaint is that the piece that goes into the USB-C inlet is not long enough to have my case on my phone for it to be secure. If it were 1/8th inch longer, it would be perfect (or somehow extendable/retractable?). I would definitely recommend it to others.

It was mostly a Top Chico opener for me, but wound up being a surprise hit with a friend to hold the phone to make videos playing piano. Missing star is for limited USB C grippiness if you're having to touch your screen or fingerprint sensor a lot while it's in use.

I believe it is overpriced for what it is and as I keep it with my phone accessories I haven't used the bottle opener yet... The usb-c fixture isn't the best as I feel it could have been made better. I would have liked it to 'click' in place rather than it loosely fits.
