Keep in mind this was taped the night of his massive heart attack. That alone makes this a must watch for any Kevin Smith fan. Simply knowing what is about to happen, and how it positively and dramatically changes his life for the better makes this worthwhile. Even not knowing that this is full of entertaining top notch content. This isn't a stand-up comedy special by any stretch of the imagination. Kevin Smith isn't a comedian. He's a storyteller, and he tells some of the absolute best stories during this extended nearly hour and a half journey. If you are a fan you owe it to yourself to watch this. If you aren't a fan this will win you over. Kevin Smith is such a genuinely kind and caring human being, and it shines through during this. Not that he will ever read this, but I do thank him for making my childhood better.

I love Kevin Smith so I'm biased, but this was great. Classic Kevin with his stories that I assure you are going somewhere, even if we take 30 detours along the way. He uses inappropriate language and tells inappropriate stories, but that's what he does. If you don't have a tolerance for that, you should find something else to watch. But if you like comic books, movie industry storytelling, and want to see what Kevin was like imediately before his life altering heart attack, then this is for you.

when i met my husband 10 years ago (we're 30) he was basically a stoner who i just madly fell in love with from day one. not only did he actually save my life! (more than once), i've never met someone so grounded, had been through so much sh_t much like myself, and the only human i ever met that had morals the same as me. 10 years later, my 2nd role model is still kevin smith, the only stand up i can handle listening to for 2 hours straight lol huuuge fan of jay and silent bob, we both are. i relate so well to this one and might actually try to cut out all the sugar i intake...edy's is gunna be mad!! thank you mr. smith<3

Inane commentary on life, children. The "humor", I guess, is watching a grown talk, think, react like a not very mature teenager. Maybe he is not acting. The constant use of swear is merely annoying -- demonstrates a limited ability to adequately Express himself in English. Sad...., but I feel worse for the audience who found this entertaining.

I'm not sure why there aren't more reviews of this. It's a fantastic insightful dive into just normal things while pinching you with humor along the way. Often now I find I can't finish a special-or find something else to play or do while I listen to the audio. But this time the comedian held my attention, however writing the review isn't because I'm about as toasted as the man himself.

Kevin's storytelling rhythm will pull you in and have you take a seat to chill and spark up with good jokes.

A great show for fans of Kevin Smith. If you are an avid listener to either Hollywood Babble-
On or Jay and Silent Bob Get Old podcasts, you may have heard some of the stories he presents already but he has added more details within the stories. Even though this show was funny and interesting, it still was shocking to know that Kevin suffered a would be killer heart attack after this show was done. He was supposed to do another show after the one on this Blu-ray/DVD. But, he went to the hospital instead. So, if you are a fan of his Evenings with Kevin Smith dvds this is basically a shorter version with no Q&A. No extras.

I saw a much longer version on an airplane flight. This version skips a Bruce Willis redux and a huge section as to how Jay convinced Kevin to direct the Flash. I bought this one to show my wife and was really bummed it left out some really fun stuff. Regardless my wife is now a huge Kevin Smith fan too.

As a Big Jay and Silent Bob fan I already knew I was getting a bargain for the low price I paid. But when I opened it, I realized the Blu ray was hand signed by Kevin Smith. More than likely it originally came from
Kevin’s Secret Stash. But anyway, it’s a really great disc. If you’re a fan of his and of stand up, you will definitely love this extended edition of his Showtime special. I recommend buying this title.
