I had never saw Max Beesley in anything before or after this movie which is hard to believe since he did such a marvelous job in this one. Of course Selma Blair, well she's Selma Blair, she is great in just about anything. All that being said, the story was very well written, edited and directed. The story never dragged and the action continued on until the end. There was some twist and turns, some you could see coming others not. This one you can watch more than one time.

Throwback Nostalgia

Selma Blair is great. Max Beasley makes a great counterpoint/love interest. They both sell their parts extremely well.

The comedy is good. They just don't make films like the late 90s perfected anymore. A perfect blend of drama, romance, comedy, and entertainment!

This movie exemplifies why independent film is so good

I caught part of this movie one day by accident. I was channel surfing during a commercial and kept coming back to it. Eventually, I left the other program to watch this. It's an amazing movie.
For starters, this movie shoots entire plot sequences in different locations and merges them together to create a seamless dialogue with an amazing visual effect.
The next thing is the story. It's not your average boy-meets-girl-they-fall-in-love story. It's boy robs bank then kidnaps girl and drags her along and she falls for him story. I don't think that Selma Blair and Max Beesley could have pulled it off any better.
The other plot device that makes the movie is the interplay between the two detectives (McGinley & Reed) assigned to the robbery. They give the story the depth without which, it would have been nothing more than an overdone short film.
All in all, it's a watcher.

Entertaining character study

Fantastic soundtrack and an entertaining dark comedy. Really this is a character study about what one needs out of life to achieve happiness. Selma Blair is good in her role and there are some good supporting actors. The music really adds to this film. I hadn't hear some of these songs and even looked them, they were that good. Recommended.
