Kill for You Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
FBI analyst Kassidy Bishop is assigned to the "'For You' Killer" task force after a series of sadistic murders bearing the same signature arise in different parts of the country. The homicides are both calculated and savage, occurring in different states, but bearing the same signature: the words "for you" scribbled at each crime scene.
The case chills Kassidy, bringing back memories of her own encounter with a violent criminal five years earlier. Kassidy's mentor, legendary agent Talia "The Confessor" Crossen knows the task force assignment is Kassidy's chance to prove to her colleagues that she belongs in the Behavior Analysis Unit. For five years, other FBI agents and profilers scoffed at Kassidy's appointment to the BAU, believing she was only offered the position in exchange for her silence about the brutal assault that almost killed her.
The stakes rise when the task force links the killer's signature to Kassidy. As more and more bodies turn up, Kassidy must delve into her past and the mysterious death of her twin sister, which holds the key to uncovering the killer's identity. The closer Kassidy comes to finding the killer, the closer she comes to a deadly confrontation that could cost her everything - including her own life.

That aside, I felt it was a pretty darn good book. Not too many typos, but I did spot a few.
I don't give 5 stars anymore except to very memorable books. Ones that I re-read, or stay with me for years.
One flew over the cuckoos nest
The planet of the apes (has anyone ever read that original book?)
The Cider house Rules
Silence of the Lambs
The green mile
The kite runner
Just to name a few from different genres. But you get the idea. Those books stay with you forever.
This book will have left my memory within a day or two as have all of the kindle books I have purchased in this price range. But it will still keep you entertained for a few hours without taxing your brain.

I have been wondering for a while now about how honest the review system on Amazon is for these cheap electronic books. I do make choices depending on others' reviews but have had several occasions now where the book does not live up to the 'customer' reviews. Some of them have been really bad but have lots of 5-star ratings. I am much more wary now and tend to read the 2/3/4 star reviews when making up my mind. Something to think about ...
Then BAM. I hit chapter 18 .... the one for me that gave everything away ... I knew immediately who the perp was. From that point on my excitement waned and my focus shifted from being fully involved in the story to sitting on the sidelines and wondering how long it would take for the central FBI characters to figure it out.
There is no doubt that Aberration is well written, meticulously researched, fast paced and full of twists and turns. The psychological and behavioural profile of stalkers/psychopaths was described superbly. On that basis I do recommend this book to readers; the reviews that it has received to date are deserved. However for me, and this is a personal thing, my adrenaline pumping roller coaster ride ran out of g-force all too soon.
I am a fan of this author and will continue to follow her. She is an accomplished writer and, in my view, a real talent in the suspense/thriller genre.
Lisa Regan's writing is fast-paced and her plot line explosive, although for the majority of the book the reader is more knowledgable than the FBI which makes their method of tracing and catching him interesting and exciting.
I found Aberration was one of those books with which I had a constant need to turn the page as the story was addictive, first in a 'did he do it?' way and then 'will they catch him?' way.
Although this is not a genre I regularly read I really enjoyed this book, and I would recommend this to others.
