After drinking a bottle of wine, Harper tells her business rival that she recently got engaged. Once the hangover wears off, Harper realizes she now needs a fake fiancé or to admit she lied. Wanting to avoid the backlash, she asks her childhood best friend for a favor.
She can pretend she’s not in love with him, but her traitorous body reveals otherwise.
Ethan Bishop will do anything for Harper, even if it’s crazy and means risking his heart. Pretending to be engaged to the woman he’s always loved proves to be difficult—especially when repressed feelings bubble to the surface.
He only wants to help, but everyone in his life sees through his façade.
It’s hard to know what’s real or fake when their private moments turn intimate. When they cross the line and fall between the sheets, the truth is undeniable.
Just as they feared, their friendship’s no longer the same. However, one thing’s certain—there’s no going back now.
**Kissing the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

Oh, Ethan, I need you to be in Florida, where I would love to be your one true love. Harp is one lucky girl. I had the pleasure of reading Kissing the Cowboy, and I was not disappointed. I was so looking forward to this book after Elle and Connor’s I almost couldn’t contain my excitement.
Ethan and Harper have been best friends since they were little. This book was a best friends/fake fiancée romance. Ethan has not so secretly been hiding his feelings for Harper. Everyone knows he loves her but doesn’t want to mess up what they have. Harper is in denial except to her best friend. She also doesn’t want to lose her best friend. But when too much wine and the post goes viral….well, sometimes you have to buckle up and go for the ride.
Ethan is a Bishop through and through. He is stubborn and hardheaded, but I loved that he refused to kiss Harper and wanted her to come to him once she decided. I also loved reading how a Bishop man is his woman’s number one cheerleader and biggest supporter. I want nothing more than to have my own Ethan Bishop and have officially crowned him the king of the next generation.
Given that I am trying to start up my little side gig, Harper’s work ethic and the things she went through with her business are inspiring and something I didn’t know I needed to read. She is lucky to have Ethan in her life to help her and keep her spirit up when she freaks out.
I highly recommend this book and hope everyone one day finds their own Ethan Bishop!
My favorite scene in the whole book was probably reading about Grandma Bishop coming up the driveway and asking for Harper and Ethan to explain what is going on! I read that scene a few times! I think she needs a little novella.
Ethan and Harper have been friends forever! They've been there through good times, and been there through all the bad times! When Harper though get's herself into a little pickle she's got to call on her BFF to be her fake fiancé.
Ethan is such a great character. I love him and his goats! Ethan is has that Bishop blood running through his veins and works hard and loves even harder. Which is why he's never shared with Harper how he really feels about her. But when she's stuck in bind and he agrees to be her fake fiancé will he be able to keep those feelings to himself or will he finally give in to what he feels?
Harper is so fun. She's cute and spunky and love her I can do it attitude. Especially when it comes to making her business a success! She's nervous about what she just got herself into and now needing a fake fiancé. She knows she can trust Ethan to be there for her but the more they are together getting ready for their romantic performance she can't help but feel like there's more there.
Will they be able to survive the romance between them or will years of friendship start to fade away.
The story between Ethan and Harper just melts your heart and are rooting for them until the end!

Ermagawd, is this author duo killing it with the Circle B Ranch series or what? (Lady parts go kaboom! 💥*snorts*)
I’m a sucker for a friends-to-lovers romance and these two just melt my… heart. (Had you worried there for a sec, didn’t I?) I don’t mind telling you, I’m loving reading about the next generation of Bishops finding their HEAs.
Best friends forever, Ethan and Harper are hopelessly in love with each other but scared to admit their true feelings for fear of losing what they have. *snorts* As if!
It’s as plain as the nose on my face (and we all know that I have been blessed with a cracker of a schnoz thanks to the Cook side of the family!) these two are meant to be together.
Then Fate decides to intercede on their behalf in the shape of a Mean Girl. Ugh, that bish had me grinding my teeth and turning the air blue while doing my very best Mutley impression. Hackles engaged!
Sweet, (hellavu) spicy*…
*Dirty talker alert – I’m talking hot flash inducing, jaw dropping, never-mind-Harper-quivering-body-shivers! *coughs* I’m TMI-ing again, aren’t I?! *nods*
…and chock full of Hart (see what I did there?!), KtC left this romance reader (and proud of it!) satisfied yet craving tacos and pie!**
