Oh, Ethan, I need you to be in Florida, where I would love to be your one true love. Harp is one lucky girl. I had the pleasure of reading Kissing the Cowboy, and I was not disappointed. I was so looking forward to this book after Elle and Connor’s I almost couldn’t contain my excitement.

Ethan and Harper have been best friends since they were little. This book was a best friends/fake fiancée romance. Ethan has not so secretly been hiding his feelings for Harper. Everyone knows he loves her but doesn’t want to mess up what they have. Harper is in denial except to her best friend. She also doesn’t want to lose her best friend. But when too much wine and the post goes viral….well, sometimes you have to buckle up and go for the ride.

Ethan is a Bishop through and through. He is stubborn and hardheaded, but I loved that he refused to kiss Harper and wanted her to come to him once she decided. I also loved reading how a Bishop man is his woman’s number one cheerleader and biggest supporter. I want nothing more than to have my own Ethan Bishop and have officially crowned him the king of the next generation.

Given that I am trying to start up my little side gig, Harper’s work ethic and the things she went through with her business are inspiring and something I didn’t know I needed to read. She is lucky to have Ethan in her life to help her and keep her spirit up when she freaks out.

I highly recommend this book and hope everyone one day finds their own Ethan Bishop!

My favorite scene in the whole book was probably reading about Grandma Bishop coming up the driveway and asking for Harper and Ethan to explain what is going on! I read that scene a few times! I think she needs a little novella.

Ethan and Harper have been friends forever! They've been there through good times, and been there through all the bad times! When Harper though get's herself into a little pickle she's got to call on her BFF to be her fake fiancé.

Ethan is such a great character. I love him and his goats! Ethan is has that Bishop blood running through his veins and works hard and loves even harder. Which is why he's never shared with Harper how he really feels about her. But when she's stuck in bind and he agrees to be her fake fiancé will he be able to keep those feelings to himself or will he finally give in to what he feels?

Harper is so fun. She's cute and spunky and love her I can do it attitude. Especially when it comes to making her business a success! She's nervous about what she just got herself into and now needing a fake fiancé. She knows she can trust Ethan to be there for her but the more they are together getting ready for their romantic performance she can't help but feel like there's more there.

Will they be able to survive the romance between them or will years of friendship start to fade away.

The story between Ethan and Harper just melts your heart and are rooting for them until the end!

Cute, but misogynistic language used

It's a cutesy cowboy friends to lovers romance that thinks the C word is sexy in Texas, a bastion of feminism. I've knocked stars off reviews for romance writers trying to "take back" the C word and make it sexy before. It was never ours. It has always been used pejoratively, as a vulgar term for female genitals and the worst insult you can call a woman. My argument: there is obviously a connection there. If the worst insult you can call a woman is female genitalia, you have some seriously messed up views of what it is to be female. I'd like to stop using the C word altogether. It's too loaded with negativity and hatred to be redeemed. But publishers of romances went through a scary phase about 10 years ago where they made all there authors "butch" up their language to make the men sound more "real," say "tits" instead of "breasts" and the C word, which I can't use or my review won't be posted. They forgot that romances aren't reality. They're ideals. And a man who says "tits" and the C word is no one's ideal.

I get to experience a new couple and their road to love while keeping up with the rest of the family members lives.
