Yeah, no. Those „poor poor men“ having to bully and mistreat their one true mate? I don‘t think so. Their reasons are major bs. And even if they truly believed them there was no excuse for how they treated her again and again. Especially since the invalidity of the their contrived reasons were constantly disproved. That just made them stupid on top of everything.
And I find nothing sexy in a woman allowing herself to be abused like that and the next moment basically having an orgasm just by looking at them either.
Really annoying since the character could have been rather cute and funny if the author had bothered to come up with some better misunderstandings or reasons for the guys‘ initial blocking of the true mate bond. I am ready to make plenty of allowances for a bit of fun escapism but this one was really too aggravating.

Ok read. I definitely finished it, and definitely want to see what happens next. Bully to lovers? Kinda?, but if I'm honest, I don't think any of these ppl are good together. The men were overly plain horrible to the H. It was almost over kill how out of the way mean they we're and continued to be. She has sex with one and let me tell you I just couldn't see it. I think she should have cut her losses right away. The writing is a bit silly and childish. But the storyline kept me wanting to see how it all played out even if I found myself skipping here and there.

I seriously don’t understand how this book got so many amazing reviews. The heroine is a pathetic doormat, the “comedy” is childish, the editing is bad, and the guys are worthless. I honestly think this could have been such a good book because I like the idea of the storyline, but the execution was terrible. This supposedly elite team of jaguar shifters leave a girl to die in the Amazon because they don’t want to be tied down to a mate, plus they get ambushed over and over so I honestly can’t think of them being elite. If they’re the only thing standing between the bad guys and the rest of the world, the bad guys are definitely going to win. They seriously leave Amaryllis injured, exhausted from saving them, and starving, but the second any of them pays her a moment of semi-kindness, she’s all over them because “they’re hot.” I wish this could be rewritten, because I’d give it another shot if the heroine grew a backbone and some of the dumber aspects were thrown out (I guess her choking to death, literally, on a beetle while gaping at the guys is supposed to be comedy?). I gave two stars because I read it until the end with fingers crossed that it would get better, but it never did. Hard pass on this one.

Hmm…. Ok, so this is a bully romance, which it clearly states, nothing hidden there. But it’s also not - at least not the way you are expecting. They aren’t mean because they don’t like her, rather trey are mean because they like her too much… it’s a thing. That said, while the “bullying” was verbal only, and neglect, it still left me cold considering their circumstances…. I mean… they left her to die. Seriously. It doesn’t matter that they felt horrible and it…. They left her. To die. In the AMAZON RAINFOREST.

……. Seriously? All that said, it clearly states this is a bully romance and the blurb even says they leave her… so why am I turned off? It’s not the authors fault, they made it obvious. Rather, I blame the guys. I wanted to like them, and couldn’t. Reasons, sheesons… ugh.

So… I get where the reviews are coming from. They weren’t exaggerating. The guys really do leave her when she smells human and are constantly telling her to follow if she wants to or not. “I don’t care”. They protest too much.

It’s so awkward pushing a woman away, someone you vowed to never have. It’s weird that she keeps up with them and dies all the time and they still call her weak. Weird that they can go from heartless to overbearing. The way they talk is weird. The way they info dump is weird. It’s just weird all around.

But it had its funny moments. Some sexy moments. This is forever my favorite line:

“You’re a grey sprinkle on a rainbow cupcake!”

I’m totally reading the next one because it’s a KU read.

Our girl Ryls has no luck. Terrible things keep happening to make her due and come back naked. This time, though, she's stuck in the Amazon with five guys whose lives she saved and they are all jackholes. They have their reasons and thankfully we get their POVs, but the way they go about keeping their distance is so horrible that I want some major groveling no matter their reasons. Dagger and Knox aren't so bad and they both come around and treat Ryls really well by the end. Jeff also starts down the path of earning her forgiveness, but Mace and Anzac need a beat down. They've said things that are near impossible to come back from.I

And now that Ryls knows the truth of what she is, what the guys are and a little more about the supernatural world, she wants to get stronger. She does tend to die in ridiculous ways, so some training could help remedy that at least a little. She gets quite a bomb dropped on her at the end, though. I sure wasn't expecting that. I'm looking forward to seeing how the guys react to her being gone. I'm also looking forward to seeing if Ryls can save herself and make the guys realize she could be an asset and that they don't have to quit their job to be with her.

The heroine is a truly nice woman. She risks her life time and again to save the 5 male Jaguar shifters who crashed landed in the Amazon with her. Everyone else in the plane died. But the shifters are verbally cruel to her, trying to leave her behind as they make their way through the jungle to civilization. That is not the maddening part, but that they secretly want her and at the same time don't want her. Even while the story aggravated me, I could not stop reading it. And it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Apparently you need to be ready to get all 5 books to get the full storyline. I am going to try one more and see where this story goes.

First of all, this book is not a romantic comedy. It's got some fun lines in it. Completely different. Amaryllis is a fun, if not slightly annoying MC, but I did want to shake her when she still wanted the "shadow".
Next, the Fated Mates were complete pr*cks. I know this is a bully romance, but their twattish behaviour would have me burning them alive. Whether they give me the horn or not.
Also, at times, it was hard to differentiate between them. I don't think they were introduced in a manner that made them individuals. The only one I could pick out was Mace (who went in and out of a Scottish accent like anyone's business).
There was some editing issues and there were some style choices I didn't like at all (for jnance, multiple !!!).
Overall, though, the book was full of action / adventure. The premise was great. I loved the fact the heroine kept dying in weird ways. And I've already picked up the second book.

I love shifter romance books and I enjoyed this one the main character is quirky and hilarious, just a perfect female lead. I didn’t like how the male characters treated the female lead, further into the book they give a reason why but for me it isn’t that good of a reason and how they treated her at the being of the book nearly made me not read the rest of the book, they are super hot and cold towards her throughout the story line which is kind of annoying because the rest of the story is really interesting and the fun romantic interactions between them were great. If you like shifter romance I would recommend but if bullying between love interests puts you off then it might not be your cup of tea.

I really wanted this to be good, however the title alone should have clued me in. I'm only thankful I read this via KU as if I'd have paid money for this I would have been furious.

Grammatical errors aplenty.
The most painfully unfunny characters and dialogue.
A main character who is so pathetic its frankly concerning.
The love interests are as dull as dishwater and their 'bully' angle is so shoe horned and convulted it's genuinely uncomfortable to read.
It's like this writer tried to shoe horn every trope that they could and didn't do any of it well.

I loved this book. Arlys is quirky and funny.

She saves men from a burning plane after is crashes and instantly feel something for them and she has no idea why.

The men all wake without even a thank you for saving thier lives and the continue to be horrible to her. So, why is she still sticking around? Oh yeah shes stuck on an Island with these men so she has no choice but to follow them out this huge jungle. What happenes when feelingz are returned and they don't want to leave her? There is something more dangerous out there and she's about to find out what that is.

I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.

4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.

3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
