Enhance your purchase
Kristy's mom got remarried and their family moved to the ritzy neighborhood across town. The other members of The Baby-sitters Club think it's a good opportunity to get some new business, but the kids who live nearby aren't very friendly. They criticize Kristy's clothes and make fun of the BSC. And, worst of all, they laugh at Louie, Kristy's pet collie, who's getting old and not feeling well. These kids are total snobs! But if anyone can put them in their place, it's The Baby-sitters Club!

i cried every time when kristys mom said to david Michael "Louie will get a shot and then Louie will sleep but will not wake up" and when david Michael before kristys mom went to put louie down he said " you were the best dog ever"
it kinda make me happy that they have a new pup but me wanting louie still.
I liked it but if you cry every time when an animal die ( like me ) i would not get this book bc louie died but your choice

The only sad part here is that the storyline itself is pretty stupid and unrealistic. Ann M. Martin abandoned nuanced character development and plot for this one and really missed the mark. But that was decades ago, and Chau was only working with what they got. It is what it is.
This still is a must-get for the series just to see the depictions and continue on the ride. I look forward to seeing much, much more from Chan Chau.
