I recall this movie title from many years ago, and that it had been recommended by a coworker at that time, but I was turned off by the actual title of the movie, (the "N" word) and wouldn't give it a chance! Seeing it rebranded like this, overcame my reservations, and coupled with the recollection of his recommendation, and the fact that I was in the mood to view a western themed movie, this fit the bill just right! The director uses his cast to their strengths.Williamson is perfect as the stoic protagonist, who has little to say, which fit the model of those characters of the Westerns of that time.(
Think Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef) The pacing of the film was handled deftly, and the story was set to shake up the viewer! This movie is made to cause the viewer to examine themselves, and their values, just as Charley is doing in the film. Using a bit of William Castle vernacular,
I would say this film was made in "Emote-O-vision"
