This has got to be one of the least inspired super hero sets Lego has ever put out. And I realize how that sounds considering how shallow much of their Avengers line is.
This set has almost no build experience. It’s a bog standard yellow suv’ish car, that would be at home in any City set. 2 identical City style motorcycles using the current racing bike shell. Only differentiated by the color of the stickers. Rather pointless weapon firing platforms. A spring shooter crossbow, and a disc shooter. Nothing fun to see here.
It comes with 4 reasonably nice mini figures. Heroes Shang Chi and Awkwafina, and villains Wenwu and Bladefist. Plus something that resembles a winged dog that has suffered a rectal cranial inversion and now has its butt where it’s head should be. Marvel assumed that “flying butt faced dog” would be this years breakout Baby Yoda character. Marvel’s people have clearly been eating too much paint. You can add buttdog directly to that pile of rejects that already includes D-O and Porg’s.
This set is an acceptable gift for a kid you don’t particularly like, assuming you catch it on clearance.
