women and girlsIt is interesting to have a female director show the absolute truth of ageing and women and of course, the lousy men they are married to.
There is even hope of female friendship overcoming the lies and betrayals of infidelity. It was great seeing beautiful Greta Scacchi at the height of her gorgeousness.
It is the old story of power and age and beauty and ambition, nothing new there, except for the glimmer of hope when the wife and the young lover seem to come to an understanding.
Lorraine Bracco is a very authentic actress, maybe also because of her personal experiences, and seeing her play the betrayed woman and overcoming petty jealousy in favor of her own life's work, is encouraging.
Well done!

Corny and Dramatic yet still a fav!!!!Me and my sis loved this movie growing up, it's one of those corny horrible acting throwback movies from the early 90s
