This series has EVERYTHING! Four unusual heroines,four dashing heroes although very different,all sorts of plot twists and turns,I was sad to finish Lady of Charade as I will miss being with them! Thanks Ellie!

A historical romance featuring a confirmed rake who discovers for himself the joy, happiness and love that can come from a relationship with only one woman. A relationship that he recently chided his close friends for.

Sarah Jones grew up in America with her mother, learning the healing trade from her. She is a strong, independent woman capable of taking care of herself, but enjoys helping others to the extent of her abilities. A couple years after her mother's unexpected death, she receives a mysterious letter from England. The letter says her father still lives and includes a ticket for passage to England along with some funds. Longing to meet family, she decides to go to England to search for her father with nothing further to go on other than he is a peer. Along the way she meets and befriends Lady Alexander and three other like-minded Ladies (Phoebe, Julia and Elizabeth). Sarah uses her healing skills as a way of living in England as well. Three years into her search and about ready to give up, she encounters an unconscious man on her doorstep one night. She nurses a badly beaten David Redmond back to health. He feels very possessive of her and returns nightly to keep her safe. What does David discover about the way he was living? When he hears her story, he pledges to help her in her search for her father, but with not much to go on it stalls. Until he happens upon a ring of hers. Why had she not told him of it? Who recognizes the family crest upon the ring? Meanwhile, what do David's parents do to him? What happens that speeds Sarah's decision to return to America? What else does she learn from Lady Alexander? How does David react when he finds her rooms empty? A great book about a strong, independent woman who chooses to help others and a man who thought he knew what he wanted, only to discover that he was on the wrong path.

Great Story & Fantastic Couple

Ellie St. Clair writes such captivating stories that you just can't stop reading & turning pages & then you add the charming, appealing, attractive & engaging characters & you can't quit reading until "The End"!

David Redman is the second son of the Earl of Kilkenny & is enjoying his life of fun, gambling & womanizing. Even though David is a second son & his older brother is already married, his parents are hounding him to marry & settle down. He is such a likable, handsome, funny gentleman that you really love & hope he finds happiness.

Sarah Jones is a healer from America & has come to London to see if she can find out who her father is. Her Mother never told her his name, only that they were in love & he was a lord & his family would not approve them getting married; so her Mother left England & went to America. Twenty years later she died & an unknown person sent Sarah a note & ticket on a ship to go to England & find her father.

David & Sarah meet for the first time at a ball - they both can't forget the other one for days after their dance. One night, David is injured & brought to Sarah for treatment & they become friends & he promises to help her find her father, since she will not take any money. You can read the book to find out what happens on the adventures, surprises romance from here.

A Daughter of a Noble?

Excellent addition to the series in this one a young American gets a surprise letter and this start a whole bunch of unexpected events. I liked the heroine of this piece she is smart and capability just an all round great character even her flaws were a delight. The hero takes awhile to come around but you will quickly see that he is a good man he just feels his family disapproval. It does end well for both and I liked that and this is a book I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Lovely Stories, Editing Needed

I read the four books of The Unconventional Ladies one right after the other. I loved every book and was pleased that each was a singular adventure and not a slight diversion of one story. The characters were strong and well written, especially the women. What I disliked were the many writing errors from using the wrong character's name to double wording to incorrect prepositional phrases. I wish the editing had been more thorough. That said, I still highly recommend this series for the content and HEAs.

The heroine is an American healer in search of her real father. The hero is a second son who is enjoying life. He is injured and she helps him recover. He learns her secret and pledges to help her find her father. How they go about it makes for a tale of adventure. Who is her father? Who sent her the letter and passage to England? The mystery is unraveled as you read the book. It is a good ending to a good series of very lovely young women and their HEA heroes. I received an ARC for an honest review.

A Forbidden Love

She is the illegitimate daughter of a nobleman. He is the son of an earl. The two are in love, but the odds are against them. Does Sarah find out who her father is, or does she return home to America, disappointed? What about David? Does he acknowledge his love for Sarah, or does he continue his rakish ways? Will his family accept Sarah? I enjoyed this romantic tale, and I look forward to reading the next Ellie St. Clair story.

This is the final story in this series. Sarah has come to London from America to find her father. She is sweet and empathetic. David Redmond is an Earl’s son and a rogue. He is charming and well liked. When he is injured and delivered to her door it becomes the start of a great relationship. It is a wonder to watch David become the hero to Sarah as he becomes her knight and falls madl in lov with her.
