This is a creature feature must read. It has great characters, mean as hell large piranha, and some wild twists and turns.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will definitely read more of the authors works.

A deliciously twisting thril ride…

This book’s premise is very well developed and tautly executed in its telling. An over decade old dark tragedy involving partying teens is the underpinning of this story about something deadly in the lake. Those teens involved are now adults and their lives have diverged in differing directions. Did what happened then cause the evolving disaster engulfing this cold water lake in Idaho? It’s a deliciously twisting journey to that answer with an unexpected shocker at the end. The slowly unfolding evidence of “the problem” is convincingly delivered, with terrifying supporting detail. The suspense, action and a touch of horror with its occasional gore quickly builds towards a dramatic and satisfying end. It’s certainly more than your average creature feature.

Sarah Campbell is harboring a dark secret. Could it have anything to do with the monstrous flesh-eating fish devouring just about everyone in the book? Fun read with plenty of interesting facts about piranhas. The premise is believable as the reader might ask, "If they can breed in the Amazon, why can't piranhas thrive in similar conditions in the United States?" Something to think about next time you want to take a dip in the lake.

Large black piranha take over a vacation lake, surviving and thriving in an environment unexpected to be compatible for their existence -- cold weather, cold water, inadequate food. The problem is how has this managed to occur? As they have exhausted the natural lake food (catfish, trout,etc.) they now feed on humans on this lake located in Idaho in an active volcano region with a plethora of geothermal vents and tunnels under water. The story, in the background, involves a year's' old mystery, never really solved but now all of the participants are back in the vicinity having been away since their teenage years. Facts about this mystery are divulged rather skimpily throughout without fanfare so the reader does not dwell on that and is therefore surprised at the very end when the facts are disclosed; you are neither looking for nor expecting that. The conclusion of the piranha events is as expected.
