I felt bad for Lennox because it was evident from day one that he was madly in love with Rylee.
I was a little annoyed with Rylee because it was taking her too damn long to realize her true feelings for him.
However, I understood her apprehension. Taking the next step into a relationship with someone you've been friends with since childhood, can be scary but I was so happy when she finally came around.
The characters were so real and flawed. I loved Brookelyn Mosley's attention to details. I'm all about the details, and I love when an author takes the time to make each scene vivid and real in my imagination.
I loved the slow build up to the romantic relationship between Rylee and Lennox. The love between them was beautiful and real.
This love story was indeed bittersweet with an ending that was totally unexpected.
This is not your typical love story with a happily ever after, but it was still a satisfying read.
I can't remember the last time I cried reading a book. Even with it's sadness, the words are beautifully written
Now to the bitter part. The reason I read romances in particular is to get a HEA. Didn’t get that with this book. Another author did the same thing with a romance and I stopped reading her for a while. I’ll do the same with this author. I don’t need life realism in what I read all of the time and certainly not to be sad after reading a book.
