I had read Ebola by Bobby Adair some time back and enjoyed it so decided to give the Survivor series a try. I really got into book one in the series, The Last Survivors, but much to my disgruntlement it ended in a cliff-hanger and I hate that. However, The Last Survivors was SO good that I immediately, couldn't do it fast enough, downloaded the Last Escape without even hesitating about the price (the first one was free). In the Last Escape the characters we met in Survivors are becoming more developed and complex. The story is being told on multiple levels from the different cast as they seem to be all coming together toward some kind of end. We are learning more about the Ancient City and the treasures and horrors hidden there, and the political and religious dissention is heating up as the disparity's between the haves and the have nots are becoming clearer to all (sound familiar). I highly recommend reading The Last Survivors and The Last Escape and I can't wait for the third in the series --- but I really wish the cliff hangers would stop.
