2 stars overall for the 3 scene movie. 100% talking and 0% action.
3 Stars for the scene with Alan Arkin and beautiful Sally Kellerman .
3 Stars for the scene with Alan Arkin and non stop talking beautiful Paula Prentiss .
1 Stars for the scene with Alan Arkin and Renee Taylor was depressing.
Movie could have been so much better with action.

Alan arkin is funny

He has been doing movies since around 1960, is still doing movies. He's funny, he was a director in Argo, and reflects Jewish wit, brilliance and longevity. One of our American achievements is we've helped people like him to flourish.

It makes Jeff laugh!

This is a favorite movie of my husband, Jeff, and he was like, "Oh! Oh! This movie is sooo funny!!! Want to watch it? Want to watch it?" I'm picturing a rambunctious terrior jumping straight up into to the air repeatedly. LOL! Please join me, if you like. Naturally, as a life-long animal lover and advocate of such, I had to aquiesce. ;-) One thing that was really funny is that Jeff is the same age as Alan Arkin in this role and Jeff has the same hair style (male pattern baldness) and basically the same taste in clothes. What part did this movie play in the evolution of the man I now see before me? One of the questions I'll have to ask the Universe I guess. I said, "How long ago did you first see this film?" "Oh, twenty years ago, I suppose." Fascinating . . .

Last of the Red Hot lovers is a comic, yet accurate treatment of the late 60's and the budding sexual revolution. It was the era of Ms. Magazine monthly, on sale in the local supermarket in Small-town, USA and I can still clearly remember when women dressed that way and thought that way. Alan Arkin is particularly funny as the conventional 40-something regular guy who, suddenly realizing one morning that he's reached middle age and life may be passing him by, decides to make a sharp left and see what youthful fun yet awaits him. Exactly what position IS his wife sleeping in? LOL PS, we never do see her face. This was a great movie for a rainy day cuddle fest on the couch. A+++!

This is like a masterclass in comedy

Alan Arkin plays Barney Cashman, and delivers one of the overlooked masterful comedy performances of his (or any others') career. Perfection. The women: Paula Prentiss, Sally Kellerman and Renee Taylor are hilariously sexy as hell, and at the top of their craft in this Neil Simon film adaptation of his play. The play is great, but the movie is even richer and funnier than the stage play.
