Better than SVU?Of course, thank the stars for Meloni's return. Now, as I write this, I've only seen two episodes so, if it goes south from here, don't hate. But this is the most visceral, most gritty Law & Order franchise I've seen. There are no punches pulled here - the plots and acting are in your face. It's ugly and real, stripped of any charm. And it is fascinating, the way it all unravels. Nothing is quite safe from the microscope - even Benson's and Stabler's chummy relationship seems to fray. If the writing and acting stay on this level, this dark horse may win more than a resurrection for Meloni - it could take L&O into the realm of art.

STABLER IS BACK!!!!IT'S SO GOOD TO HAVE STABLER BACK WITH HIS STYLE & THE WAY HE PUSHES THRU REMINDS ME WHY I WAS SUCH A BIG FAN OF SVU & DLYAN McDERMOTT AS THE HEAD MOBSTER IS A BRILLIANT CHOICE I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THE SEASON UNFOLDS, NOT TO MENTION THE SIDEBAR OF OLIVIA & ELLIOT & HIM WALKING OUT ON THEIR PARTNERSHIP ALL THOSE YEARS AGO THAT STILL HASN'T BEEN ADRESSED ---- MAN I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! 5 STARS

Stabler's back, and better than ever!Some reviewers have criticized this for being different from the old Law And Order formula, but so what? Time marches on. We've already had that in abundance. If one wants it that bad one can watch the reruns. This is something new, done in a neo-noir style; It's shot incredibly well, it's super hard-boiled and sexy (like the best noir), and every episode is a cliffhanger leaving you pining for more. I can't wait for the next episode!

Eliot Stabler is Back!So glad Eliot's back! He's a desperately needed breath of fresh air in the L&O franchise. So far the acting is great, the writing is great and the plotlines are full of suspense.

Did you really think it wouldn't be great with Stabler as the star!I dont know if you can trust my review cause I've like his acting since I watched him on oz, he plays well as the hothead in any setting, looking forward to more episodes and seasons i hope. Is he finally gonna hook up Benson is the biggest question lol

Weak scripts and weak actingMy S.O. loves Law&Order SVU. However, we couldn't get past the first episode of this dog of a series.
