The author recently released a second compilation that contains books 5 thru 8. I plan to read through all those too.
Although some members of my family are native German speakers, I am not. I have a very good German vocabulary, and can usually follow along, but natural conversations in German move too quickly for me to comfortably participate. I am always a sentence or two behind the German speakers, trying to figure things out. It can be exhausting.
Reading Dino's adventures has helped me recognize present tense, past tense, proper verb placement, etc. I started to actually "think" in German. The stories are engaging (not "Dick and Jane" style), and I enjoyed Dino's travels through Germany, learning something new about each city along the way.
Could I read the books fast? No, not the first time through. I recommend reading the books all the way through, and then read them again. I was amazed how much more of the words, grammar and verb placement I understood (not just the story line), when I read it the second time. I started to get used to the natural "flow" of the language, not so interrupted by looking up translations. It really helped me and I plan to read more.

The style of writing is easy to read, and the stories themselves are funny and based in real world situations which make them perfect for learning REAL world vocabulary that you might actually use.
Hats off to the author and I hope more and more of these will be published including those for intermediate learners.
Thank you Andre Klein for providing content with learning.
Le storie sono molto brevi così da non scoraggiare il lettore e inoltre ci sono le traduzioni ed esercizi in inglese alla fine di ogni storia in modo tale da capire meglio il testo.
Quindi per poterlo sfruttarlo al meglio bisogna avere una conoscenza di Inglese Intermedia in modo tale da capire le traduzioni.
Lo consiglio vivamente e quando lo finirò prenderò certamente anche la seconda parte.
