I cried at the sad parts and laughed aloud at the amusing parts. I read all of them in 2 and a half days. I literally couldn't put them down. It saddens me that I came to the end of their story but I sure look forward to reading more books by this author. This story not only told me about an amazing journey of characters but the feeling of faith in it was just absolutely mind blowing. A must read!

I loved the character development, they came alive from the pages. They felt like dear friends that I wanted to root for and shake them silly at times.
I thought the first couple of books were well written and true to the storyline and characters. The last book (spoiler) drifted. 1. After developing faith and traveling to hell with the Saviour, she suddenly couldn't talk to him anymore? Not even check to make sure he was okay? 2. She ran into the final battle against Satan alone instead of waiting another minute. She could have waited and then been injured in the battle and still flow into the same storyline. The do it all feminist heroine has been overdone in so many books and is annoying.
All that said, I still really enjoyed the book series.

I’d been hearing about this series for a while and finally decided to dive in and grab a copy of the box set so I could see for myself what all the fuss was about. Wow! I now know why there was a fuss!
Audrey’s story grabbed me right away. I was fascinated by the choices the author made in how she described the afterlife and a person’s entrance into it. At times I questioned those choices, but the author always (eventually) gave a sound and logical reason for each decision. So well thought out and wonderfully crafted to keep me reading and thinking! She brought a new perspective to what the future holds for those of us who have faith. 🙂
And, of course, the tortured love story was terrific. Book 3, Dominion, was my favorite of the set, and I read deep into the night, wiping unexpected tears from my eyes, and hoping things turned out the way I wanted them to. The entire series was a perfect combination of action and romance, of spiritual warfare and God’s unfailing love.
This series is one that will stay with me forever (in a good way), and I certainly look forward to reading more from Julie Hall. I highly recommend you check out the Life After series.

Wow what an experience this book was. I loved this mostly, at time irritated at Audrey and Logan and at the end pissed at you Julie a couple of times but you brought me back from the brink. I have never cried so much during a book...ugly cry as I felt God was speaking to me personally. I believe He put me in the path of this book when I needed it most, even now as I write this review I am getting emotional. I have Kindle unlimited so I was able to read this for free but am going to buy it so I can highlight and reread as needed. Thank you Julie for bringing a book to life that was a great story as well as reminding us readers of God’s unconditional love. It was truly an eye opener.

Julie Hall's freshman series is a fantastic adventure of afterlife fiction. It opens the imagination to consider what could be. While it is not theologically sound, and the author will agree, it definitely is a conversation starter for what the afterlife might hold.
Audrey is a complicated girl, with a lost memory, impossible expectations to meet, mistakes to overcome, and a heartthrob guy she can't stand be around and can't stand to be without. She has to learn to rely on God to make it through some kick-butt battles and (literal) hellish attacks that make your heart beat faster and makes you wonder why your nails are bitten to stubs.
In particular the third book is filled with so many fantastic twists and turns you can't help but be blown away by the mastery of storytelling.
It's a fast paced story and a quick read. Now bundled as a complete series it's the perfect gift for yourself or someone who loves young adult Christian (or even religious-themed) fantasy fiction. There's even a bonus scene in the Complete Series bundle you can't get anywhere else. Hall does a fantastic job of bringing readers back into all the best moments of the series and provides a fantastic wrap-up (and a teaser) for her avid fans.

Rollercoaster of emotions reading this, lots of tears but even more laughs!
As a former strict catholic come agnostic I never thought I’d question my faith again until this box set of beautiful books. I’ve had a million feelings flit through my heart and my mind in the best way and I feel I’ve come out much stronger for it.
At first it was an unwelcome realisation that the books were HEAVILY based on “the good lord” and so forth but after gritting my teeth and pushing through I actually enjoyed the books very much which was a surprise to my cynical mind. There’s usually nothing worse than faith preaching to a former believer but these books allow you to enjoy them for the story without them becoming too overwhelming. Only one point in the whole lot irritated me but that’s because of my personal feelings and not because of what was written. And I was extremely disappointed and crest fallen to see them end!!!
So from me they get 4* which is very high praise from this extremely cynical mind. Thank you!
