Life-Changing Money: A Kill Crime/Jeff Case Short Story Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Life-Changing Money is a Jeff Case short story and the prequel to the Kill Crime Series....
Meet Jeff Case before his world explodes.
Jeff Case does what most people would never do, and thank God for that because it makes the world, and your community, a safer place. But before his world turned upside down, he had a different plan.
Former soldier. Defender of the innocent. Case may have left a war zone, but he soon discovers that the streets of America are just as dangerous. It was kill or be killed in combat, but Case is ready to turn his back on his military career and start a new life with his wife, Becky.
During a final interview for his first civilian job, Case steps in to help a woman in danger. It is the catalyst that kick-starts the day from hell. A day that Case and Becky may not survive.

Like at the movies years ago, you will want to cheer for the good guys and hiss and throw popcorn at the villain.
The author builds very clear and colorful scenes with you at the center of the action. If you have had the opportunity to know a pomeranian dog, you will love this scene. If you have never known a pomeranian, you will now have the opportunity to meet one. In this one scene, the elderly lady is walking her pomeranian when the villain tries to steal her purse. She hangs on with all she has, and the little dog is jumping, barking, and nipping at the villain's heels.
The good guy jumps from a cab and gives chase to the villain, and saves the day.
At this point, from you, their will be cheers, jeers, and popcorn throwing.
I will be bored waiting for the red light, and bang, this scene will play over and over with the pomeranian in my mind. Bringing out a smile.
Come on, boys and girls buy the book and enjoy great moments for a long time after you put the book down.
This story shows the lines friends, associates, and family members are willing to cross for a big payday.
There is a lot of action packed into this short story, leading up to “who done it” around the supper table of the rich aunt, in her Brownstone, that everyone wants to die tonight.
Mike Slavin has skilfully built complex and varied characters easily recognizable in the real life, as well as a multiple layered plot, all in thrilling short story.
I read Kill Crime first, then Life-Changing Money. If you read this, Life-Changing Money, as your introduction to the series, do not miss reading Kill Crime. It is really a good book that will hold your interest and watch out for all the twists, turns and surprises. I even laughed a few times, and it could tear you up in other places. I won’t forget Kill Crime, and I can’t wait for the second book.
I was instantly hooked: I wanted to know everything there was to know about Case and his life... I also wanted to know what the greedy brothers were up to...
This is a short prequel to the Jeff Case Novel series by Mike Slavin (Kill Crime is the first book due to be released on 15th November). The story packs a punch and gives you good background knowledge about who Case is and what kind of man he is ("defender of the innocent")...
AfterThought: I am very much looking forward to reading the series after this introduction...
