Fox is great as a child agent with not so great talent

Michael J. Fox is great as a child agent with not so great talent. His clients can't act, sing, dance until a young girl picks his pocket, He finds the girl and she puts on a great act in front of a large group of people who give her money even though she stole their wallets too. She joins his talent agency and good times roll.

A Small Movie With A Big Apple Heart!

Adore this film. Its sooooo NYC. Anyone who has every known anybody in the entertainment industry in NY or who participates on any level, can guffaw their way through one situation after another. The children; their acting, their singing...the goings-on. Outragish. Each character is so clearly defined within the space of less than 2 hours. The acting is terrific; the direction superb. I I giggle out loud every time I watch this film. Nothing is outdated at all, except for one remark [which I will not address]. Nathan Lane is fun; Cyndi Lauper is hilarious. The child who Michael 'discovers' [Angela] is a wonderful talent. Tough around the edges, she reminds me of my years as an educator in the city system. I sincerely hope this film becomes available to purchase at a regular DVD price. I recommend it to friends every time I see it. I have not seen every MJ Fox film but enjoy Michael in every film I see. Most recently discovered GREED with Kirk Douglas & Michael J. Fox on cable. What a hoot. I get so much enjoyment from watching him maneuver in each film, even if formats are sometimes similar in terms of the BG music & sentimentality. If a viewer wants to get a glimpse into a Grade B Childrens Casting Agency & all the antics & antics with show biz moms, this is the one. I give it a Big Apple Five Stars!

Enjoyable comedy

Life with Mikey - Michael J Fox is on brilliant form in this entertaining, and occasionally poignant, comedy about growing up, responsibility, and child talent agencies.
The movie is funny in a way that only Nathan Lane and Michael J. Fox could provide, and Cyndi Lauper is adorable as the receptionist. It isn't as touchingly romantic, or as hilarious, as Doc Hollywood but it is another great example of the comedic acting talent of it's cast and especially its leading man.

I think the movie is okay, it's supposed to be for young viewers I imagine, but it has bad words and I didn't like that! I don't like movies with bad words or inappropriate content, so even when the movie itself should have been enjoyable the bad words ruined it!
