Mother Paula Spencer Scott is the author of Peter Pauper Press's An Oral History: Preserve Your Family's Story, as well as The Pregnancy Journal, Momfidence, a co-author of The Happiest Toddler on the Block, and a former columnist for Woman's Day and Parenting. This is Daughter Page Spencer's first book. They live in the San Francisco Bay area.

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at ''prices even a pauper could afford.''

I purchased this for me and my 13 year old daughter to share with each other. Raising a teenage girl can be a struggle and sometimes as mothers, we tend to argue or bicker with our teens, which put a damper on the relationship. I thought this would be a nice way for us to bond and strengthen our relationship. My daughter was happy to receive this as a gift from me and we started filling out pages right away! However, we want to take our time filling it out so that we have something to look forward to do together! I love the variety of questions and prompts this journal includes. The hardcover is of nice quality and the pages are so clean and smooth. I purchased the sharpie no smear pens so we do not personally have any problems with the ink smearing on the pages. The ribbons attached to the book to use as a book mark is a nice added bonus! Overall, this is a great journal for anyone wanting to bond with their daughter. I recommend it for mother’s and their daughters that are 10 & older.
