As good as (maybe better than?) Bosch
This is the 3rd season we've watched and it's very difficult not to binge. What's different about this police drama is that it's about the anti-corruption force (internal affairs) weeding out dirty cops. This is intelligently written; at last, people who don't use the "F" word in every sentence; complex plots; surprises and twists -- love this show. This show always provides a character that you like, then you hate him/her, then you sympathize with them, then you think they're guilty, and then you don't know. Great writing -- really good acting. Realistic in that even the good guys have faults. As a couple who loves intelligent detective stories with twisting plots, we highly recommend.

One of the best crime drama series around
I am a big fan of the British crime drama series. As opposed to the American style of presenting a different crime story with each episode, I love how the British take a storyline and create an entire season around it. So much detail and drama and mystery. I recently discovered the Line of Duty series and this has to be one of the best series on Prime, hands down (a close second is the series "Unforgotten"). Seasons 1 and 2 were very entertaining but season 3 is unbelievably interesting and suspenseful! Each episode has a twist and turn and it rarely ends the way I imagined. If you are a fan of the detective/crime drama genre, don't hesitate to watch this series. Amazing acting, character development, and storylines. TV entertainment above and beyond!

Well done and riveting.
We just finished watching season 3. I watched seasons 1 and 2 on my own, but then my husband got hooked too. You think you've figured everything out but then you haven't. Good acting as others mentioned and this proves one can produce a riveting show without all the vulgar language. I hadn't realized that until someone else noted it. There are some pretty violent scenes but they are not dwelt on. Well done.

Most Excellent!!!
I can't say enough good things about this show! Between the plot twists and deceitful and conniving characters, it's keeping me on the edge of my seat {I'm only in the third season}. It's a binge watchers dream come true. Jeez, I love British TV.

Wow...Season 3 Does It Again!
I am so addicted to this series! Unfortunately, there's only one season left. I hope I can take it slow, lol. It's my reason for getting up in the morning, lol. P.S. Just have to say that the last scene, with the dump truck and our heroine riding (truly) shotgun, was some kind of action scene miracle! Brits, Europeans...they do crime better.

Still great
I was shocked at the conclusion of Season 1... absolutely stunning conclusion to a great season. I don't recall being that invested in a drama series since a couple of lifetimes ago; maybe because lack of writing in todays dramas, I don't know, but after making the leap of a couple of lost characters, the theme of AC12 and its role as the center-piece became clear. Hastings, head of AC12 who started out as the irritant became the backbone of the series; finely done.
The writing, from the Line of Duty perspective of the police investigating "their own", at first reminded me of a dog chasing its tail, and since that first season I've come to have high regard for this type of police procedural. Everything about this series is first class. I'm no professional but I'm impressed.
Season 2 and 3 are remarkable, again, for its production and acting. I think it holds up much better than the Wire did, and without being too closely comparable with True Detective story series, which was amazing, this is top shelf.

They had a winning formula in S2...should have dragged it on.
Season 1 is so-so.
Season 2 with the character Denton is riveting. She is fantastic.
In Season 3, the two characters ( Arnott and Fleming) are so annoying that you side with the villain (Cotton). The woman turns into Rambo in the final episode.
I am hoping they drop them for Season 4.
