About Lisa Phifer
Dr. Phifer has expertise in developing the social emotional capacities of children and empowering service providers to reframe challenging issues with a trauma informed approach. Her work has also been published in the School Mental Health Journal and the book Supporting and Educating Traumatized Students. She has created and facilitated virtual professional training programs to increase educator's awareness off trauma on social, emotional and educational growth.
Dr. Phifer holds a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from Allegheny College, a Masters in Educational Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and earned her Doctorate of Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Family comes first. She enjoys time with her husband, daughter and golden doodle Midas. She is also involved in her daughter's school, chairing the PTA committee. Her other interests include singing in the car, football Sundays, baking with her daughter, spending time on Lake Erie in the summer and traveling.
