Zooom! Wooeeee...! "Make way!" The big city sure is a speedy, noisy place for a country truck like Blue. Everywhere Blue looks, he sees buses, police cars, taxis, vans, a street sweeper, and even the mayor's limousine. With everyone pushing to be first, soon there's a giant traffic jam! But even a wrangle-tangle is no match for Little Blue Truck, who comes to the rescue in true Blue style.

The art is phenomenal. The overall message is clear and as a parent, it's admirable that even though the Little Blue Truck gets pushed around a bit in the city, he is still so kind and compassionate, offering his help to the Mayor, just as he offered his help to the mean Dump Truck in the first book. Kindness perseveres and he's acknowledged and celebrated for it.
I think this is a worthy sequel and it can be made a super fun read with your child. I personally like to give the Mayor a Colonel Sanders accent and have my son celebrate with me at the end for the Little Blue Truck saving the day. And the parents complaining there's no "beep beep beep" at the end? Come on. Lol. Y'all are too harsh on this series, lighten up a little. It's a solid kids book. I almost didn't buy it cuz of these low reviews but I'm so glad I did. And you should too, if you're thinking about it. Your kiddo will love it. Especially if you add accents.
Cliffs notes on the book: LBT goes into the city only to find mean vehicles that are all in a hurry. The mayor’s limo breaks down and LBT is there to save the day. He convinces the mayor to tell everyone to slow down and go one at a time. Then they all celebrate with a big parade. The end.
His favorite page is when the marching band plays.
I ask our google mini to play the sound of each instrument in the band and he loves it!
I ask my son to find certain objects on each page to keep him engaged and learn new things.
The illustrations are simple but beautiful.
I have another book in the series but this is his favorite.
You won't regret buying this one.
Little Blue Truck books. This one in particular we love because of the way it charismatically symbolizes leadership. My son loves the rhymes and enjoys the story line as well.

Writer just want to make some money by selling some similar styled book. Nothing much for children in this book except how to be a slave to the mayor!!!
