Nice, but sounds are not as good as bird books

My 2.5 y/o likes this book because he’s obsessed with lions. He gets bored with it pretty quickly though. Some of the sounds are a little scary (the baboon for instance), or not very clear, and the elephant should have been much more recognizable since it’s a child favorite. Not as good as the bird books, which we have already. I’d pass on this one.

My 1 y/o grandson loves many of the sounds in this good book! I wish there’d been more familiar animals included. I’d trade the bubbling kassina for a giraffe, for example! I also would have preferred the more common elephant sounds to the growl-type chosen for the elephant here. The hippo may be our favorite…he’s got a hilarious deep laughing sound. Atlas & I both imitate the sound & laugh together. It’s definitely a fun book….& great exposure for his fast-developing brain.

We have two of the bird books in this series and love them, so we were very disappointed when this book turned out to have some sounds that didn't sound accurate. The elephant and the lion are especially bad. Alexa and Google both give much better sounds. I'm returning this book and don't recommend it.

I love this series of books. We have had bird books and used them happily for years. However half of these buttons are no longer working after just a few months. The return window is passed so we cannot get a new one and the book is too pricey to defect already!

I discovered this book to read to my grandson as he was fascinated in animal sounds, like all small children are. The sounds are real and there is a photo and description of each animal. Amazingly, one of his first words was "baboon" as he pressed the baboon sound. We had concentrated on the lion of course so I didn't even know that he was taking in all the other names as well. I also have the garden bird book which helps us all recognise the bird calls heard in our garden. Wonderful books!

The eagle sounds like a seagull, I was expecting a loud and clear trumpeting sound for the elephant but it is more like a distance vague noise, if it wasn't for the picture I would have not recognized neither the zebra nor the baboon. The sounds seem authentic, yet they are bit disappointing
