This movie is really bad.

I am a movie buff. Love Denzel who is basically the only bright light in this movie. The rest of the actors are trash in this. This movie could have been really good but it seems everyone got tired of making it and threw some spoiler like ending that doesn't fit this movie. Seriously, do not buy this.

A must watch!

If you enjoy plot twist, this is a must watch. Classic Denzel with a host of others really bring this movie to life. It truly is the little things you must pay attention to, or you will never put the pieces together.

Easily forgettable, with Dumb, boring Detectives

This is not a "slow burn" movie. It's an attempt at a period piece, before there were smart phones. These detectives are incredibly stupid(with something happening towards the end that is just so absurd I laughed. Seriously. This was the "thing" that Denzel's character did? And he was apparently a great Detective. No. Just idiotic). It's a slow, ponderous slog, with uninspired direction, and poor casting choices, as Malek and Leto just seemed to be there, because they won Oscars. I already forget their characters' names, even Washington's character. This is the kind of filmmaking that started as a good idea, but failed in it's attempt to be thought provoking, and niche. Unfortunately, the movie's first, second, and what I'm going to assume third act really don't work. It's a jumbled mess with bad pacing. Do not waste your time on this film, whose script had apparently been around since 1993. Should have remained shelved, and forgotten.

So much raw, unabridged talent in one movie. Though their performances are nuanced and understated they are believable, endearing, and frightening.
I wish there was a Creepiest Performance Oscar - because Jared Leto really embodied our fears about serial killers. At least, what I believe they are on the Inside --

Don’t buy 4K UHD version.

Prime dropped out while the intro was playing. When I restarted it, the sound on the movie was delayed. Turning it off and back on didn’t help. Now I can’t find a way to return it, since the movie already started playing.

This was not worth the price that I paid for this movie. Maybe 2.99 would have been too much. The movie did not produce the excitement that I was looking for from the big headliners. It had a back story which was going back and forth thru the movie. In short , it was not what I expected. Don't be mislead by the trailers. But that's just my take on it. You can always wait until the price drops.
