Be Aware: Two Animals are Cruelly Killed in this Movie
Verified purchase
I selected this movie because, as of now, there is one Amazon review and it says the movie has twists and is a "non-gory" mystery. For that reason I was caught off guard when an animal is cruelly killed as part of the plot. It doesn't show the killing but does show finding and recovering the body from the gruesome manner of death. I found that disturbing!!! There are 4 total violent images in the movie.

Many people won't care, but I share this for those who prefer less violence in their shows. I get that some want that, and I'm not criticizing them. At the same time, it should be easier for those of us trying to avoid it to do so. Research shows the brain literally changes physical structure and becomes desensitized to violence the more often we observe it. In my way of thinking, that is not a good thing, not a way to be "realistic" and not what I want for myself or family. For those who do want it, that should be there choice. I'm just saying it would be helpful to more easily know the types of images we are about to see. That's why I'm adding this review.

Overall, compared to most modern day shows, this is NOT gory or violent. Two animals are purposely killed for "fun" and twice we see the bloody head of someone who is dead. All of these are brief. I can understand why the other reviewer says "non-gory" because, compared to most of our choices, it is pretty non-gory.

Suspense and madness abound in this twisty thriller

I checked out this movie because a movie reviewer placed this on their top ten Amazon Prime movies to watch tonight list.
It was pretty good, although I didn't like the ending. Yes, there was something not nice that happened to two cats, but I knew that anything mean was fake, and it didn't bother me. I have a cat, myself, I want to mention this since another review did. I thought it was a pretty good movie. I'd recommend...particularly if you like movies set in Britain.

The only redeeming aspect of this disappointing mess is getting to watch an incredibly yummy young Gerard Butler. To quote U2, "Run away run away run away run away, I will follow..."

This was a great, non-gory mystery story.

Overly busy, kitchen sink included storyline
Disconnected, unrealistic flow. The “victim” is the most ridiculous character of the bunch. Guess you have to be there, but do yourself a favor and skip it.
