Exceptionally lame and dull.

The characters are so one dimensional and their acting is so flat that I consider them zero dimensional non-actors. And, furthermore, the description has nothing to do with this movie!!! At no point is the band offered the chance to "sell out" or whatever.

Into Alternative in the 80s?
Verified purchase
If you were into alternative music in the 80s and/or played in a band during that same period, you will enjoy this. I was a little older than these guys (graduated from high school in 1986), but I get the sentimental warm & fuzzies watching. Lots of Husker Du, and some great background music (including "Underclass" by Alex Chilton, an underappreciated EP, "That When I Reach For My Revolver" by Mission to Burma). YEAH!

I didn't know what to expect, so this certainly exceeded expectations. A story about a band trying to make it. Plot rings true.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!

Lots and lots of laugh out loud fun. Sexy cast (Kyle Gallner esp.), really great music. The guy who plays the manager is hilarious. Wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did!
