Love as a Business Strategy is a revelation - the best parts of the book are when the authors get honest and vulnerable, showing us their biggest people-mistakes. The stories and anecdotes made me cringe with recognition of my own flaws, and made me respect the apologies and corrections that these leaders made to improve their own personal workplace behaviors.
These stories have added up to me realizing that I'm not going to find my better leadership self on a shelf or in someone else's theory. It's up to me to get honest and introspective, the way the "Love as a Business Strategy" team does.
Love as a Business Strategy has taught me so very much and I have found myself opening up and speaking from a place of transparency and vulnerability more often. Thank you!

This raw, look behind the curtains approach to what unexpectedly categorizes as a business book is something I haven't seen before, and frankly I only picked up out of curiosity. Love? Where are they possibly going with this?
I read a ton of articles and some books on business, specifically trying to learn how to be a better leader. Typically trudging my way through a million, often outdated statistics making the content dry and honestly feel like I'm running through an obstacle course trying to figure out how these concepts even apply to me. Not this book, all through it they ask me directly to think about my reality and what this looks like for me in my world. And they map out actionable, tangible things I can do immediately in my everyday to be a better leader and create a great culture, a culture of love.
Highly recommend this to all types of leaders - aspiring leaders (maybe not in a "leadership role" yet), those new in the workplace looking for a guide forward or those who have been a round a while and think by now they know it all. You definitely don't, I know I didn't.
Many leadership books talk about convoluted leadership concepts (like executive presence), but this book emphasizes a practical approach that is not mythical and does not just boost the appearance of a leader. The ideas discussed can be easily applied by anyone to create growth mindsets, psychologically safe environments, and increase resilience in their teams leading to tangible business outcomes.
This book helped me understand my team better and turn a few internal conflicts into thriving relationships, putting my team on the path to overtaking our marketing goals for the month.
Derived from real experiences , this book is easy for me to understand and will definitely start applying the six pillars on a day to day basis.
Servant leadership and feedback sections were my favorite parts of the book.
The world is going through a crisis currently with Covid and as I was reading, made me realise that Humanity needs to be at the forefront of every business and the way we treat each other and take care of each other with love is the primordial source of success for a corporate manager like me.

Love as a Business Strategy does away with the usual corporate jargon and cheesy success stories that are prevalent in such books but is instead an exposé of a very raw and authentic journey that Softway goes through, highlighting both the good and the ugly, as it discovers that resilient teams can be created as a result of fostering a culture of love as opposed to one of fear and greed. The authors very crisply outline simple actionable steps to help their readers discover for themselves that love is in fact a business strategy that works. I really loved the fact that I could relate to a lot of the experiences and struggles that are elucidated in the form of everyday, very real work situations that are faced by people all around the world.
The book is littered with small golden, or should I say "platinum", nuggets of truth and wisdom that really made me pause and take a long hard look at my mindsets, attitudes and behaviors. My personal favorite exposition is summarized in one line in this book - "The only way to create a culture of love is the hard way."

The best part is I could connect with the author as they shared their real-life experiences. The book does not talk down to you, rather helped me introspect on my own behaviours and why it matters. It’s an easy read - loved the story-telling, it’s something anyone can relate to.
Inspired by Softway's journey, this book makes us see new perspectives to how business can be handled by keeping people at the forefront, how it can be wonderfully maintained by embracing thoughtful emotions.

Rather, this book is dynamic-- the experiences are first-hand and ideas revolutionary. What makes this particular book special is how oriented to people it is, how it is largely based upon real-life experiences of people in the company, who are far from ideal.
By reading this book, it can be felt how doing Business is incubated within a clear understanding of people's minds and their emotions. Vividly visual, very pointedly communicated and wanting to bring a change in how people view business, "Love as a Business Strategy" could be a winner of a book.
