Generally, I don’t read romance-centered genre stories, but I’d gladly reread almost every piece published in the collection.
Admittedly, even some of the pieces I started to read thinking “I’m not going to make it through a sentimental story such as this.” Had me hooked within a few paragraphs, which was surprising and refreshing.
Great editing and even a little logo at the end of the ebook!
Honestly, I loved each story and I loved how they worked together in the anthology. Each story was a love story but it wasn't always boy meets girl. They covered all the facets of love in one's own life. Everything from a grandfather's love in Peppermint Kisses to falling in love reading Six Point Hayes to growing old an in love in Tootsie.
I think there is something for everyone in this anthology. Even though I enjoyed them all, I had two favorites. Sugar and Ink is about two people finally noticing each other. The magic in this one is just as beautiful as the prose. My other favorite was The Beech Tree Carving. I was tearing up by the end. It was suspenseful and so full of hope. Without giving too much away, think along the lines of the Notebook.
