It's almost impossible to go wrong with Lacy Chalbert in a Hallmark movie. She is as close to bankable as it comes with this genre. This movie has a lot of potential because it was filmed on location in a very exotic place. It follows the typical storyline of a city girl inheriting a country location from a relative she hardly knew. In this case, it's an African wildlife refuge. As usual, the refuge is in trouble if it doesn't get some investment and the girl who inherited it wants to sell because she doesn't know anything about running a wildlife refuge. As usual, there is the handsome but gruff worker who clashes with her at first and there is the city slicker boyfriend who can't fit in. The supporting cast for this movie is made up of really good actors who do a great job with their roles and the scenery is really good. However, this movie spends a little too much time on the setup and doesn't leave much room for the payoff. It seems like the plot and conflict are still being developed right up to the end when suddenly everything falls into place, including the romantic pairing. Because of this, I gave the movie a few less stars than it probably should have, given the actors and the location. This is definitely a movie worth watching if you like Hallmark movies because the acting and production quality are good. However, I think the story falls a bit too flat to make it a classic. It's nice but not memorable.

I am so sorry I bought into the negative reviews and avoided this lovely story for far too long. Today I gave it a chance and I did not regret it! It is a wonderful movie throughout and one I highly recommend. Lacy and all of her co starts did a great job bringing a beautiful story to life. This is not a sappy romance. It is a story of one young women's journey back to finding out where her heart really lies. I do not want to five away too much although so much of the story is visual and that is the part, I found so lovely. The culture, the animals, the history is so inspiring. This movie ended well. I was pleased. I also am making a decision today to ignore the negative comments and go with my soul. I just know in my spirit when to join into an experience of great storytelling. It calls out to me and today was not different. I honestly would probably never go to Africa but having the opportunity to travel there with my eyes is enough. I am very grateful to Lacy who was a producer on this project, and all involved in this production. I hope more like it come my way. Enjoy!! And be blessed! :)

Who wouldn’t want to inherit a reserve in the beauty of South Africa (okay, maybe some, but my wife and I would love it)? Love on Safari brings the sweet and charming Lacy Charbert into the heart of the wild when she inherits a reserve from an uncle, only to face a staff who don’t want it sold, a resurgent love of this land, and falling for the guy who doesn’t want her to sell. In many ways one might take this as “just another Hallmark movie,” but this one (as do all the ones with Lacy Charbert) has a bit more to it... heart, story, I don’t know, but we like her movies. The setting is gorgeous and it doesn’t take long for Charbert’s Kira to come around and see what others have seen - how wonderful this place is. In the end... well, you can guess... love is in the air and Love on Safari is found. It’s a good story, a charming way to watch two people fall in love, and fun with the animals. We’re happy to have added it to our streaming collections.

This is another great Hallmark movie. I balked at getting it since it was about safari and that usually means the killing of animals. This had NO killing or abuse of animals. I don't want to see killing or animal abuse. It is a lovely movie about people that love animals. Thank you Hallmark!!!! Hollywood always seems to have to include animal abuse or killing in the animal movies they make. The animals in this movie are amazing!!! And the love story is great as well. And the scenery!!! Hallmark always does a good job of making beautiful movies.

Lacey Chabert plays Kira, a web designer that finds she has inherited an animal reserve in South Africa. She travels there and is working through all the steps to try and sell the animal reserve. She meets Tom, a ranger on the animal reserve, played by Jon Cor. He is passionate about his work and is trying to prevent Kira from selling it. As the days progress, they start to get closer, but Kira has a boyfriend and has no idea how to care for an animal reserve.

This film was really cute, one of the most impressive things was that it was filmed on location. The scenery is breathtaking and there a lot of animals that you definitely would not see in a regular Hallmark movie. There are also scenes including what look like local schools which are really cool. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

The only criteria to make a hallmark movie is the ability to smile, act silly, be pretty, and be able to act stupid on cue, which doesn't seem to be hard for most of the actors they hire. I think pretty is the main prerequisite for these movies. "Where is the airport?" one of the first things she says as she steps off the plane in South Africa. I suppose she was born under a rock, and her education didn't include any details of the outside world. Oh and then she moves back in total fear of a giraffe....yeh, they are also very vicious from what I have seen. hahaha. Honestly please explain to me why stupidity is a quality that Hollywood finds to be endearing, I personally don't. I have already groaned a dozen times and I am about done. Smile, giggle, smile and giggle some more on cue....yep this show is right on course. Okay I am done. I can feel my brain cells shriveling as I watch this.

I Love all Hallmark movies, but I especially loved this little movie, very cute, and entertaining. If you purchase it you will not be disappointed, and I love the scenes from Africa very beautiful made me wish I would inherit an Safari Park. Love Lacey Chabert

I look for clean movies and Hallmark always delivers. Struggling girl in dead end job meets future that is handed to her on a plate... but it's the wading through all the mini-plots that are cute, clean, and fun. The views are breathtaking and story line is good quality. They matched up the actors to story very well. Just pure cup of tea on a rainy afternoon sit down and enjoy and de-stress time. Thumbs up, the whole family can watch this.
