Fun Funny Family Series Drama/Comedy
Different and yet some things are always going to be the same...especially when it comes to family! As is often the case, I'm reluctant to watch Comedy because it can be 1) Stupidity, 2) Copy Cat silly for brain dead, 3) Predictable, just plain ole pitiful. However, Love & Marriage was none of these - at least - not so you would want to pull your hair out. Yes, somethings were "the usual suspects"...such as a bit of cookie-cutter definition of (grown up) children; although not to the point of trite. Yet, from the beginning I thought this would be good fun because it had that iconic undertone of "When Harry Met Sally" (which remained by all time favorite move-story for a very long time). The storyline of "When Harry Met Sally" is still up there, however, I've matured in real-life and moved on from "chic-flicks" (so to speak). Therefore, I was glad to see the opening scene (similar to "When Harry Met Sally") did not define the whole series (maybe it might be considered a grown up version). The "Love & Marriage" series is very funny, witty and poignant, yet not a downer about a mature woman retiring and discovering, without her job, she can see/take note that much of her life has been lived for others who didn't/don't appreciate all that she gives/shared/devoted to them. Wait...this wife, mother, grandmother is not bitter or even angry...she is contemplative. She wonders "Is this all there is - to me? What do I want? Do I want to change? Must I change to find happiness?" Moreover, "Will leaving my lazy, unaffectionate, grumpy husband be the best change; even if it means breaking up what everyone thinks is a perfect and happy family (especially my 3 grown up children). Is it me...or them? Must I choose?" Thankfully "Love & Marriage" does not become a "put all the answers in a basket, wrap nicely with a cute ending. The "Love & Marriage" series is good stuff; serious, funny, heartbreaking, and heartwarming comedy-drama as everyone's life spills over into each other's to define and perhaps redefine the meaning of "Love & Marriage" in real life. peace.

Wow
I binge watched it, and it was great. I really didn't know what to expect but the level of wisdom was enlightening along with the comedy. They characters were dynamic. As soon as you liked one, you learn a little more, and you start to dislike them, and then right before it gets to hate, something will turn it around .......except Kev. I couldn't stand him throughout. He seemed to never grow up, but hey, this movie showed there is someone for everyone.

Mixed bag
It is a funny show about a family with both ordinary and unique situations happening in their lives. The chemistry of the cast fits the main plot of the show. The only thing I disliked is the character Kevin Paradise, his antics of trying to fleece his mom, keeping it a secret from his wife, and stealing twice ( and lying about it), one from the bar and other from a dead woman's flat was absolutely annoying and not funny at all. Other than that, I overall liked the season.

Sweet Family Story
This family is so easy to care about. There is a character for everyone here. The writers capture "couple hood" at all of it's messy, loving, difficulty. I especially loved the characters played by Celia Imrie and Larry Lamb. Their relationship is complex and yet so easy at the same time. Very enjoyable series. I usually wish these had more seasons, but it seems just right to end it where it does.

Funny and Endearing Family!
Wonderful! Great characters, Unique personalities like we all are. I Loved it and wish there was more. It delved into serious relationship and family issues, but kept a kind and light enough tone overall. Very entertaining.

Okay for a rainy afternoon.
I would have so enjoyed this a whole lot more without the character Kevin. He was so frustrating to the point I found myself shouting at the screen. Not sure if that was the goal of his character or the simple fact his acting is so bad.
